so far so good - 1995 Ford Taurus
By r_erickson - December 23 - 2:00 amPicked up the tauras from an older lady with 75k, currently have a 100k. She broke it in gently, and Ive been driving it like a racecar. No major probs other than the rear power windows dont function. Horror stories about tranny failures after 100k make me a little leary, especially with the hard driving I give it. Im staying on top of preventive maintenance and its never hiccupped yet.

Love my SE - 1995 Ford Taurus
By T. Shields - November 20 - 2:00 amI have owned this vehicle for approximately 4 years. Have never had a break down or any major problems. I maintain it with full synthetic oil (Mobil 1) even with that I still change the oil every 5,000 miles. I perform as much preventative maintenance as possible. One of the best cars I have ever owned. It currently has 98,000 miles and is still going strong. Ford did it right on the 95 Taurus SE.

great price, reliable, not flashy - 1995 Ford Taurus
By jmick - October 27 - 1:00 amIf youre buying one of these things in an attempt to be unique, try again. If you want to get where youre going in a hurry or even if you want to beat an old woman in a Buick off the start, think again. BUT, if you just want a nice big car thats cheap and easy to drive, here ya go. After I totalled my MX-6 I wanted a BIG car. I bought the taurus w/ 50k miles on it, now its got 80k. Ive had to replace a radiator (standard on a ford). Other than that, its great. Ive learned to love my Taurus and to give a nod to all the retirees that Im with in the slow lane.

I Love This Car, So Far - 1995 Ford Taurus
By eem150 - October 21 - 2:00 amI previously owned an 1988 Taurus, so this 95s my second one. Ive also never owned any other cars. I really like the car, it has good power, its comfortable, and its large. The spedometer is up the creek without a paddle. The lighter also got stuck in the push-in position, kept heating up. I panicked and picked it out, dropped it on the carpet, lost it under the seat while the carpet burned, then threw it out the window. Other than that, no major problems ... yet.

Solid Vehicle - 1995 Ford Taurus
By cb20234 - September 15 - 2:00 amJust a very solid, roomy, no-frills car. Bought the car with approx. 70,000 mi. on it, drove it until 150,000 mi. when it was totalled. Did not have to make any major ($100+) mechanical repairs. When the transmission goes, it is brutally expensive, but I have had two Tauruses the first made it to 160,000 mi, the second was fine at 150,000 mi. At that point, you dont fix it, just junk it. All in all, solid, reliable and comfortable.

OK Car - 1995 Ford Taurus
By mike4743 - September 13 - 2:00 amThis was my first car- bought it in 2000. BAD- Speedometer, Cupholders, Transmission, Fuel Pump, Power with full load, gas mileage in town (17 mpg) GOOD- Power with no load, Comfortable, Handles well, Brakes, Steering, the ability to cram tons of people and stuff in. I bought w/ 92K, it now has 124K. During that time I have probably put $700 into it, but I do lots of work on my own.

SHO ME - 1995 Ford Taurus
By JimJRJ - September 10 - 2:00 amJust bought my 95 SHO and I love it so far. Leather, JBL audio, cassette/CD, moonroof, auto temp., wonderful car. People are so surprised when they think you have just a regular ole Taurus and you blow them off the line. This is my first American car, always had Nissans and my last car was a 98 Maxima SE and this SHO is quicker. Not as fast as the newer Maximas though, since they have 155HP. I plan on pumping up the horses though.

Decent - 1995 Ford Taurus
By cbrian22 - August 20 - 2:00 amThis vehicle has been very dependable. Only the alternator and the Speedometer has went out. The windshield wipers also quit working. I understand that the speedometer is a big problem in this model and getting it replaced is hard to do because of the risk of incorrect mileage when selling the vehicle. This car handles good and has ample power with good fuel economy.
