  • My 1992 Taurus L Wagon - 1992 Ford Taurus

Car starts flawlessly every time, the heater warms up fast. The 3.0 liter, automatic accelerates and shifts swift and smooth and the ride is quiet and smooth as well. There is some roll when cornering hard and fast, what youd expect from a wagon. Otherwise handling is very good, especially in panic moves/stops. Braking is very good. Interior is roomy (ligitimately can fit 8 passengers), egronomics are excellent, seats are comfortable, original sound system is very good. Reliability is excellent. Have serviced regularly, as suggested, with no problems. Replaced tires/wheel alignment at 57000 mi., front pads at 62000 mi. I am extremely satisfied.

I had to sell my 1999 Pathfinder because my wife got laid off, we have 2 small children and we needed a nice midsize car. WE purchased it with 102000 miles and we paid just over 2000, its a great car, excellent on milage, I would recommend this car to anyone.

  • This is NOT your Fathers Ford - the SHO - 1992 Ford Taurus
    By -

While still put in the ranks of a "Taurus" for far too many classifications (like parts, and even this Edmunds Rating) the SHO is in a class by itselt. The 5-speed high performance engine and interior and exterior design set is apart from the "other" Taurus Fords. At a 1992 sticker price of $28,000 this car was not for the weak of pocketbook. The car to own and drive has been a dream -- every day. 135,000mi and still gowing STRONG!

  • Reliable Construction and Dependable Car - 1992 Ford Taurus

I bought this vehicle ten years ago and it is still going strong. It is the most dependable car I have ever owned. It has never left me stranded. Ive been the recipient of several read-end accidents and my Taurus has taken the impact with minimal damage to the car and myself. The body style changed in the late 90s and my husband drives a 1998 Taurus. I like my model better - roomier on the inside. Id recommend a Taurus to anyone who likes comfort and dependability. We found this car to be perfect for our family of 5. It was very comfortable and we felt safe. The 3rd seat in the back came in handy, and we had very few things go wrong with the car. Very reliable!
