Cant Believe I Still Have It! - 1994 Ford Probe
By KD - November 17 - 3:55 pmAs the single owner of a 94 purchased 9/94, I cant believe I still have it. It is still plugging away, although I have had some major issues with it over the years. Oil leak, transmission, and the engine light that stayed on for 2 years and WASNT the O2 sensor! (they kept telling me it was and changed it twice). I will agree strongly that the seats that are rotting, the liner where my hands have been (by window) is rotting, and the red is horrible! Its been painted twice and is now fading again. The trunk is massive (hauled a dining room set in 3 trips). It does idle rough, but could probably use a tuneup. But I have loved this car for 12 years. Need a new one and dont know what to get now.

Love the car to death - 1994 Ford Probe
By GatorAlex - July 19 - 3:06 pmThis was my first car. I am 16 years old. I love this car and I would recommend this car for a first car because it s reliable and it gets great gas mileage. And my insurance is not bad either. As the title says, I love this car.

13 yrs and still going... - 1993 Ford Probe
By valentino - July 9 - 9:31 pm...to be fair it has less than 50K on the odometer because it was garaged for years. So far it has been a mixed bag: capable handling, practical and fun to drive but reliability issues spoil the experience. First the praise: gotta love the silky smooth V6, the precise steering and confident handling - it feels like its on rails. After adding Beck Arnley rotors and pads the brakes feel strong and well modulated. The rear seats are only suited for the kiddies, but when folded down make for a HUGE trunk. Negatives: valve head gasket needs replacement as its starting to smell like burnt oil.

I love this Car - 1995 Ford Probe
By probeguy - May 21 - 8:46 pmI have had my 95 SE for about two years got when it had 90,000 miles and have put about 20,000 miles on it. It is quick for a four and handles like the best. I love taking this car on curvy roads. I beat this car and the engine and clutch are still strong. My family has liked it so much my brother got a Probe as well. Its biggest problem is engine electronics. The mass airflow sensor has gone as well as the idle air control valve, and they are expensive to replace.

The Pink Probe - 1994 Ford Probe
By Daniel - May 17 - 1:14 amI bought this car about 2 months ago and have had nothing but problems. This car has 164,000 miles on it. The engine is very healthy but everything else is falling apart. The transmission is very fickle and can never decide what gear to be in. The anti-lock light is on on the dash. The brakes make weird noises. The sunroof is rusting badly. The interior is absolutely falling apart and makes all sorts of funky clunking and cracking noises. The AC makes horrid noises and barely works. In Florida, this is not good! I will never by a Ford Probe GT again and dont recommend them to anyone. Horrible choice.

My Dear Alexa - 1994 Ford Probe
By Daniel - May 17 - 1:00 amI got my 1994 Ford Probe SE with 213,000 miles on her 2 years ago. She has failed me one time. She was in need of a tune up (all the spark plugs fouled out). Front Struts, water pump, and rack and pinion steering have been the only expensive repairs. She has been the best car and loads of fun to drive (only with the five speed). Now with 240,000, she still runs great!

Nice car - 1993 Ford Probe
By Davey - May 11 - 8:11 amI bought this car because of the great price I was offered. It had 50k on it and had sat a lot. I did have to replace some gaskets as could be expected. I have since replaced the exhaust and intake (by choice) and it is an excellent vehicle. The model I own has every amenity available. 1993 Car & Driver car of the year, road tested against the Integra and other models of its class. Although, new my vehicle listed for $30k and the Integra for $20k.

Nice car for its time good first car - 1993 Ford Probe
By Bonka - April 11 - 5:17 pmBought as a winter car with ~132,500 miles. Black on black, loaded and auto. Cousin of the Mazda MX-6, prefer styling on Probe, notably the GT version. Wide 16x7 5-spoke wheels and body accents (spoiler, side skirts, door caps, front bumper) make this a nice looking car. Reasonable power from V6 but weak in the low end. Nice interior layout. Great handling characteristics (weakened by the cheap tires). Stiff suspension. Steering response a little light. Common problems oil leaks which I have (vc gaskets, oil pressure sensor). Automatic is terrible. Hunts for shifts. Requires cooler for longevity. Back seat for looks only. Deep trunk but high lift gate.

Bang for the Buck - 1994 Ford Probe
By Smackcat - April 9 - 12:24 amGood car for the dollar. 2.5L V6 humps with the 5-speed. Just wish the KLZE engine was available in the U.S. Extreme acceleration for a 164HP engine. The 5-speed is a must, FUN FUN FUN! Tires are expensive. Both CV joints pooped on me. Interior rattles like a snake, but all of them do. Exhaust is tuned nicely. Looks arent bad, very customizable car. Car doesnt get much glory considering its a domestic, Ford. Surprises many! Sits low to the ground, not snow-friendly. If the engine goes, KLZEs can be imported from Canada or Asia. The KLZE engine is directly swappable and pushes 200HP. Can you imagine?
