  • 96 Probe GT - 1996 Ford Probe

My GT was bought new. Have had little problems outside normal maintenance. Had to have a new engine put in at 187,000 miles, thats right 187,000! Due to a teenage driver not checking oil. The car now has 210,000. I have a 5 speed, be nice if it was a 6 speed.

  • Probe GT Good Choice - 1995 Ford Probe
    By -

The GT is clearly biased toward handling over absolute comfort. That said, the ride is acceptable. Corner carving potential is awesome for a FWD car. More is easily obtainable by changing the rear sway bar. Steering is precise, brakes have good feel and are effective. Build quality is very good as is reliability. Overall power is down by todays standards, but rolling starts from 20 mph are quick. Mileage is decent, but the gearing keeps too many revs for 30 plus MPG to happen. 27 MPG on the highway is obtainable. Shifter is nice and accurate. Car came with high performance summer tires which are essential to handling.

  • Awesome car - 1990 Ford Probe

I am the original owner and absolutely I love this car. I have the Ford V6 engine & trans with 191,000 on it & the car is still going strong. I have never had any trouble with the engine & trans and this car has never stranded me. Its fun to drive and handles well. The car has its original black paint and still shines like a new car. Well done Ford. I hope to keep it forever.

  • 93 PGT - 1993 Ford Probe

As with every car you will have things to be fixed, however for a car up in age of 10 years plus, I wouldnÂ’t trade my GT in for anything. Great handling in corners and respectable acceleration coming out. This is my favorite car, IÂ’ve owned 4 so far.

  • Stay Away from these junkers - 1993 Ford Probe

This car was great when I bought it. It quickly emptied my wallet keeping it on the road. Timing belts and cooling system problems.

  • Bring it back - 1994 Ford Probe
    By -

I bought my GT almost 2 years ago. Been in love ever since. Was a daily driver till just recently, now IÂ’m putting some time and money into the improvement of it. Its got a real good base for performance. And if youÂ’ve got the time and money they can be super fast. So far with just the basics headers, exhaust, cold air intake, pcm IÂ’m around 200hp! There is just something about getting behind the wheel of this car.

  • The mighty Probe - 1991 Ford Probe
    By -

Bought this car with 36,000 miles and owned it for 6 years. When I traded it in, it had 188,000 miles and was still kickin. Had to replace the clutch, the ignition module, broken cable on drivers seatbelt, and repair a rusted out exhaust but other than that, the car never gave me any problems.

  • Great car - 1991 Ford Probe
    By -

When I bought this car, it had 111,000 mi. on it. Eight years later its still going with over 205,000 mi. and no major repairs other than a timing belt and water pump. I would buy it again in a second.
