  • Excellent Car - 1994 Ford Probe
    By -

I have had my Probe for over two years now. I have not had to do anything to it major yet. I had to have the transmission rebuilt but that was due to the design flaw in it, Ford should have recalled it but didnt. So I dont consider that my fault. I am in the process of upgrading it to be able to race it this fall.

  • Has been a great car! - 1995 Ford Probe

Parts are very expensive if you go to Ford. Buy parts from your local parts store or go to a local repair shop. Automatic transmission is likely to fail around 100,000 miles sometimes more sometimes less. In my 3 yrs of ownership, I have replaced oxygen sensors, 2 CV boots, and 1 brake caliper. Other than that it runs like a swiss clock.

  • Keeps on ticking - 1995 Ford Probe

Ive got 221,000 miles on my 95 Probe. I love the car and hate to get rid of it. Only handling problem is that it is very hard to control in slippery or wintery conditions. Other that that, it performs extremely well.

  • Great Bargain Sports Car - 1995 Ford Probe
    By -

Im 17 and I bought this car for myself as a christmas present since my older eclipse turbo was biting the dust. This is truly one of the best bargain sports cars out there. Its got plenty of torque to get it off the line though 50bhp wouldnt hurt. So far, its been reliable (knock on wood). It engine sounds great, but i couldnt resist adding a flowmaster exhaust. overall, GREAT car

  • really really good car - 1993 Ford Probe

very easy to drive, great handling, still runs really well, and the stereo works great.

  • Probe - 1991 Ford Probe

This car is 11 years old and after about $800 for minor problems, it runs like new. The car is fun to drive and different from others in its class. Even gets some ladies, no lie.

  • Not a kids car - 1995 Ford Probe

Dead reliable, fun to drive. Weve got nearly 150k miles on the V6 so far with regular maintenance. Maintenance is expensive on the GT though, so dont saddle your kid with one if you want them to get through college.

  • Great Mazda (er, Ford) - 1991 Ford Probe
    By -

I bought this car new in 1991 for $11,200.00. It has has $2,000 in work. 1 The A/C converted to R-134 and the 5- Speed rebuilt @ 157,000mi. This car has always started and here in FL the A/C is ICE cold. Talk about your moneys worth. Get this, it never burns a drop of oil! My advice to ANYONE who will listen is CHANGE YOUR OIL every 3K no matter what. I can not stress this enough. You keep the heart going, the rest will follow!

  • Fords "other" sports car... - 1996 Ford Probe
    By -

I love my 96 Probe GT. It has been very reliable. It is quick, looks great, handles like it is on rails, and is really fun to drive. I also owned a 93 PGT, but I prefer the looks, reliability, and build quality of the 96.

  • 1992 Ford Probe LX 3.0L V6 "POWER" - 1992 Ford Probe
    By -

ive have my car for 4.5 years now it hasnt had any problems and its 10 years old... thats true performance. I have an APC dual 4" muffler on it and boy does it sound nice with that thoaty V6. The 3.0L is way more power than the car needs which makes it very fun to drive. You can smoke anyone who tries. If you want a fast reliable car i recommend a 1992 Ford Probe LX 3.0L V6... theres a reason this engine was only in the car for 3 years!
