Neat car, but ages poorly - 1995 Ford Probe
By AdamPSU - November 14 - 2:00 amBought her used, had her for 2.5 years now. I really love driving her, and up till now, i have had few problems rotors, battery, stuff like that at about $100 a pop, and not too frequent. But last month, I had to replace the whole transmission at 87,000 mi - cost me $2100 to do it! Now, shes giving me trouble starting in the morning, and it could be the Idle Air Control (IAC is $600 to replace), or the Mass Air-flow Sensor (MAF is $800 to replace). I dont know which, and it could be neither, and something less expensive but I am bracing myself for the worst! Im afraid as much as I like her, I could not recommend to others to buy this car.

my probe gt - 1993 Ford Probe
By probefrk - November 4 - 2:00 amI first drove a gt in 1995,and i tell you what i fell in love with it. The car handles like a dream and acceleration is punchy 5 speed. I have only had 1 problem with my car a 25 dollar part thats it. Basic oil change and matience stuff. The mazda engine made the car what it is.If your looking to make it a street car all you need is a few modifications and your ready to go.

probe review - 1993 Ford Probe
By fordreview - October 29 - 2:00 amI bought this car about 6 years ago, and have had very few problems with it to date. The car is almost 10 years old and is now having an idle problem while in neutral on occasion. Besides that, no trouble.

Are you a good driver? - 1993 Ford Probe
By jmick - October 28 - 2:00 amI bought my probe at the repo depot when it had about 85000 miles on it. As soon as I got it home, it dropped a manual transmission.... After that the car was a dream. Its a fun car to drive and its tiny engine burns NO gas. Heres the catch, I got into a wreck last year with a Chevy Z71 pickup. It bent his front quarter panel and totaled my car out (bits and pieces of the little thing went flying into traffic). So, if youre a good driver, enjoy! (if youre in the market for one, notice how it sounds like a tin can when you close the door)

My first car - 1990 Ford Probe
By HeavyPedel - October 11 - 2:00 amIn being my first car I dont have much to compare it too since I still have it, but he sure is a fast little guy. I love flying around in downtown Lansing, taking corners fast enough to glue my friends to the windows.

Looks are deceiving - 1994 Ford Probe
By jfm - October 6 - 2:00 amThis is a fun vehicle to drive until everything under the hood needs replacing. Today I am trading my car in and the dealership is giving me a value of 1800.00. I am coming out great!!! In order to fix this vehicle the cost is probably little over 3000.00. The repairs are more than the value of the car. Good luck to anyone that buys this car.
