I loved this car with all its power. Had problems at the get go and had the tranny replaced under warranty at 40000. Muffler is expensive and have replaced 3 times in 10 years. Had power brakes disconnected 3 years ago when they malfuntioned on the highway and dealship couldnt figure out the problem. Catalytic is now gone and the powersteering has malfunctioned for the 5th time and its off to the scrapeheap for this puppy. Got stolen once, attempted once more and broken into 2 more times in 4 years (I do not live in a bad area, either!)

This car is a very reliable and fast car. This car has one of the best fuel consumption ever. I made it to Wisconsin and bak on $60 on gas. Thats like 33 mpg!!!

I owned this car for 5 years and had nothing but problems with it. I spent so much money on repairs including a new transmission. Just last week the car finally died. I sent it off to a salvage yard and went out and bought a 2004 Toyota Corolla, which is of course a wonderful and reliable car! I would never own a Ford after my exprience with the Ford. And yes I understand this is a Mazda engine.

This car is good if youre only looking for fuel efficiency & a large cargo area. This car is bad when it comes to repairing it. It is half Mazda and half Ford - youll need both metric and standard tools to work on it yourself & the engine is really cramped & tightly packed - what a pain! After only 63000 miles and 6 years, my model has many rattles and many broken interior parts including problems with the door handles that have had extensive warranty work on them to no avail. The interior is just too cramped. I would not recommend this car to anyone but a teenager.

Was just ok, at 110000 miles now and am trading it monday before it dies a horrable death. I liked it at first but now its just ho-hum. But all in all its been a good car.

This is a fun vehicle to drive until everything under the hood needs replacing. Today I am trading my car in and the dealership is giving me a value of 1800.00. I am coming out great!!! In order to fix this vehicle the cost is probably little over 3000.00. The repairs are more than the value of the car. Good luck to anyone that buys this car.

  • inexpensive? i think not - 1994 Ford Probe

the transmission in my 94 probe se failed at 80k, and cost 3k to fix it, which is more than the value of the car. other than normal maintanence ive replaced the O2 sensors twice, the entire exhaust system, and too many engine parts to write the air conditioning is the only thing in my car that has been reliable. plus, i have a clean driving record and the insurance is expensive. its an inexpensive "sports car", however the repairs and parts are super expensive. unless you can do the work yourself, or have an awesome mechanic, youll be spending lots of cash to keep the car on the road.

  • Fun and cute......but in the shop lots - 1995 Ford Probe

This car is fun and sporty. Very cute design, cute features, but fell apart mechnaicall. Already has had on transmission replaced and broken 3 sets of accessory belts in less than 65,000 miles. It is currently being traded in for a GMC Sonoma Crew Cab. Worst problem list of any vehicle owned before. Air Bag is onoperative, and headlight motor does now work on one side. Also, less than 5,000 miles ago, wire fire occured from short circuit under dash.
