Fun to Drive, Expensive to Repair - 1995 Ford Probe
By jdhemm13 - February 7 - 2:00 amI have owned my 95 Ford Probe GT for about a year and a half and it is a great car to drive. I have had one minor accident which was expensive to repair. Another problem, the power window broke six months after I purchased it. Other issues are the regular car things: new tires, brakes, alignment, etc. The V6 24 valve engine and the 5 speed manual provides a fast and fun car to drive. I get pretty good gas mileage, about 21-25 miles to the gallon, good for a V6. From my experience the car does not handle well in snow, even a few inches. I am about to trade it in for an 4x4 SUV to be able to travel in the snow. I would highly recommend this car.

Best and most reliable car Ive owned - 1995 Ford Probe
By DBonta - February 1 - 2:00 amNo problems with this car other than you can rev it well past the red line wich destroys the water pump. This car has been reliable and a joy to drive from day one.

Great car for the $ - 1995 Ford Probe
By astonmrtn - January 30 - 2:00 amI have put over 60,000 miles on my car with no problems what so ever. The doors shut tight, the engine purrs to the point I try to restart it at intersections. Performance and driving are wonderful for the price. I would highly recomend....

Clankety-clank goes my dash... - 1996 Ford Probe
By Female, Single, 25 - January 26 - 2:00 amThis car is good if youre only looking for fuel efficiency & a large cargo area. This car is bad when it comes to repairing it. It is half Mazda and half Ford - youll need both metric and standard tools to work on it yourself & the engine is really cramped & tightly packed - what a pain! After only 63000 miles and 6 years, my model has many rattles and many broken interior parts including problems with the door handles that have had extensive warranty work on them to no avail. The interior is just too cramped. I would not recommend this car to anyone but a teenager.

this probes been around - 1993 Ford Probe
By VAgner44 - January 13 - 2:00 ami just bought this car and it is the most reliable car i have ever owned. It has three hundred and sixty five thousand miles on the base engine with only minor maintenence done to it. It still runs great and i drive it every day. It has never missed a start in the morning even when it is ten below. its a great car and i will probably keep this the rest of my life.

Bad Guilded Car - Expensive Repairs - 1993 Ford Probe
By Trev - January 11 - 2:00 amThis car has caused me much grief over the years. I have ended up spending as much money on the car as it is worth. Wheels alone cost $112 each! Every time I had to get the car fixed, which was often, it would cost much more than other cars, many times in the hundreds of dollars. Whats worse, Ford didnt respond back to my concerns on their website. I have had a horrible experience with this Ford vehicle and will never buy a Ford vehicle again. Im trying to sell it now just so I dont have to worry about repairs anymore. With the poor quality and high cost for repairs, I strong advise anyone NOT TO BUY THIS CAR. This car is just not worth the hassle.
