Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.
- Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
- No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

More Mustangs - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Mark Gill - April 25 - 5:33 pmIts nice to be able to enjoy a performance car at this price level. The styling is retro in some ways but the features and ergonomics are 2005. Everything works at a fingertips reach and the feel of interior is superior to what we got in the past.

2005 Ford Mustang GT = FUN - 2005 Ford Mustang
By audioman - April 15 - 8:03 amMore fun to drive than just about anything for us over 50 crowd. Makes me feel like I am back in high school with a very cool car this time! Quick, agile and it fits like a glove. Lots of comments where ever I go. Looking forward to a few mods in the future. Only complaint is no backlighting for the controls in the Shaker 1000 stereo but it has best sound I have ever heard in a stock car stereo and audio is my profession! Almost bought a Magnum RT but the GT is way more fun to drive. Best bang for your buck available today.

Some pony! - 2005 Ford Mustang
By BLAZIN" - April 8 - 2:06 amDriving home after looking for a new car, with nothing particularly catching my eye, I saw IT and as they say "the rest is history." Before, a car was just a car. Driving was a task not a pleasure. Those ways of thinking are long gone. One word of advice ... BE CAREFUL ... the power of this v-6 is amazing. This car will fly with no effort or strain. If speeding is a problem for you, I hope you have cruise. Boy, I would be in big trouble with a V- 8. :-)

Love it! - 2005 Ford Mustang
By MikeM - March 23 - 12:53 amOk, first off...If you do not like attention, DO NOT get this car! I cant tell you how many heads turn when I drive this car - doesnt matter if the top is up or down. Every time I stop to get gas, I have someone approach me and ask to look inside and end up talking to them for 5 or 10 minutes. I originally planned to keep this for just a few years but think Ill have it for much, much longer. I get a TON of compliments on the color, too (Windveil Blue). This car is amazing. Its not the GT, but it still goes! Absolutely love it.

AWESOME! - 2005 Ford Mustang
By david - March 17 - 9:33 amI saw the new Mustang, and it was MUST HAVE IT. I have no disappointment at all. The features are easy to use, the drive is FUN, FUN, FUN. The LX 6 cylinder, 4.0 convertible is great. Ride is smooth, even when you hit some bumps. Talked with some people who have the GT, and their only complaint is the gas mileage. If you have never owned a Mustang (this is my first one) dont hesitate -- GET IT.

Squealing Brakes - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Chris - March 2 - 8:16 amI have had several Mustangs, including a 1985 and my favorite, a 1966. This is one of the funnest vehicles I have driven. The only complaint was the brakes squealing. I had it in the shop 3 times and I finally replaced the factory brake pads with ceramic pads -- problem solved. Now I have no complaints except for the speed limit signs.

05 Mustang - 2005 Ford Mustang
By cdlafaver - February 13 - 12:56 amI have been anticipating the arrival of the 05 Mustang for about a year and have been checking with various dealers now and then as to "when will they be here"? After being told "in a few weeks" by most everyone I was shocked to walk into a dealership that had one that went from their showroom floor to my garage floor in just over 1 hour! I am very please with this car except for one thing. On acceration (worse when cold) I get somewhat of a rumble from the transmission(5 speed). Their service department said it was gear lash and nothing could be done about it. Has anyone else noticed this? Where should I go to get help? Thanks for any comments.
