The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.

• Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.

• No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

  I am unhappy with the all new Mustang. In addition to poor gas mileage, I have had the gas tank replaced three times already. The pump was stopping as if the tank was full, as well as slow fill and spitting back. Dealership said nothing was wrong. They did contact headquarters to find out that there is indeed this type of problem with the vehicle, but not on all of them. They replaced it twice and did not work. Finally they redesigned it. Took 5 months to solve problem. It is a fast car with a great sound system. But, too many "characteristics" that take away from the car. Any problem that I have with the car, they say is a characteristic of the car.

  It looks pretty good, that’s why I bought it, I am disappointed with the performance. I will trade it in for the upcoming Cobra, or just a Z06 Corvette that could blow this thing out of the water.

  Ford did a good job in design, refrence back to the Shelby GT. The curb appeal is good. I owned a GT500KR. Go FORD!

  This car gets from point A to point B with a sound and look of no other. I put my money down on this car as soon as they said it was comming. I drive it every day, rain or shine. The trouble is that this is all a dream I had last night.

  I recieved my mustang GT oct 18, 2004 after ordering it over four months ago it was the first one around, everywhere I go I have to wait in line to get back in it, I love everything About it I got all options except automatic, people actually hang out of thier cars to get a better look when I pass, mine is red on red. Best car since the 87 GT convertible.

  This car is the true essence of the american pony. The engine runs superbly with each start and the deep pur of the engine just makes you want to spontaneously floor it, and the exceptional 200+ hp makes it a solid oppurtunity to do so. Yes, the back seats arent very comfortable, but the mustang back seats were really always a joke. The car is very fun to drive and hasnt failed me... yet

  Car has 18" wheel/tire option and 5 speed manual. Also have 88 LX 5.0. Quite different cars. New car is great looking and has a comfortable interior with great seats and smooth engine. Complaints are numerous: keys are too low and hit my knee, pedal pads slip easily, shifter is vague and clunky, engine lacks bottom end torque, rear suspension is jumpy and produces a choppy, busy ride on most surfaces, shocks are tuned for "Cadillac" ride and not performance handling, making for bad body roll. Gauges are buried in dash making for difficult daytime readability. Car is rather large and heavy compared with past Mustangs. Other than those items, a great, well built car.

  I had no intention of getting a small car, I was actuallly looking at Xterras but when they introduced the new mustang I couldnt resist driving one. My windviel blue mustang is the best car I have ever owned. Head room in the backseat is not there if you are over 5. The shaker 500 is awesome. The interior is really cool only because of the interior upgrade package, w/out it, there is acres of black plastic on the dash. decent power for the price. I dont know how I will ever part from this car.
