Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.
- Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
- No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

By Retro - September 19 - 1:46 amPurchased for my wife and its an amazing vehicle. I own a Hummer and and BMW so this is the summer car and it delivers. Tremendous power, awesome interior (red w/ accent) and great exterior retro look. It turns heads whereever we go. Nice backseat room in comparison to other years models.

True American Performance - 2005 Ford Mustang
By graphicguy - September 18 - 8:56 amHaving owned a number of Japanese and European models of performance cars, getting a taste of purely American performance machinery has been pure hedonistic joy. The Mustang GT embodies all that is good about American automobile manufacturers. The muscular V8 is a true joy to exercise at any speed. This is mainly true because torque is available from any speed to any speed. It does this effortlessly. The sounds the drivetrain makes is a joy to experience. Its guttural and wailing tones lets the driver (as well as anyone within ear shot) know that this is a serious performance machine. This can also be a civilized car. Its at home in daily commuting as it is firing towards redline.

One Great Car - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Chris Brown - September 17 - 6:03 amThis is the first new Mustang I have ever owned and it is GREAT! I have an 89 LX convertible that I have owned since 89 and have had a 65 Mustang. This car is faster, tighter, better made and looks better than any Mustang ever built.

Im in love with my car again - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Rate this convertibl - September 15 - 1:03 pmI own some of the best cars manufactured in the world. I still have my first car, a 1966 Ford T-Bird Convertible. I got my Mustang convertible without paying the usual dealer premium; even if I had to pay it I would still be thrilled with my car. This one is definitely another keeper. I highly recommend the Legend Lime Green metallic

Love It! :) - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Cathy - September 14 - 8:00 amOh my gosh! I cant put into words how this Mustang has lived up to my expectations - Ive been a Mustang lover for many years and finally now own a new one (owned a 65 in the mid 80s). Oh my gosh! Its amazing - solid, GORGEOUS, FAST! Everything the legend is known for plus the creature comforts of our modern age. Kudos to Ford - I think they designed this car just for me! :) Oh my gosh! AMAZING! I just brought it home today and keep going out into the garage about every 5- 10 minutes...its that good!

great car - 2005 Ford Mustang
By k9patroldog - September 10 - 6:43 pmThis is a wonderful car to drive. The Mustang will turn a head or two. There is a small hesitation in the acceleration when you first press the accelerator but when the transmission finds the lower gear, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Want Another Car - 2005 Ford Mustang
By GT Premium - September 2 - 10:30 pmI just recently bought this car and have put very few miles on it. My first test was driving it to Boston. While there I had an accident in which the front of my car collapsed at only 20 mph hitting the back of a SUV. It response is very good but it seems too cheap on the inside.

The best Stang yet - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Debbie - August 28 - 12:46 amIve been driving Mustangs for 31 years and the 05 is the best of them all. Its hard to go the speed limit because this pony can do so much so easily. Acceleration is fast with just a touch of the pedal. I prefer a manual and the new position of the stick makes for quick shifts. This stang also feels the most solid on the road and the ride lets you feel the road without getting bruised. The comfort of the seats is a great improvement and I feel like Im in a recliner. I could drive this car all day. And its nice to finally hear the rumble of the exhaust on the inside, sounding fast even at 30 mph. Chrome wheels with spinners hubs fit this body style, reminiscent of the 60s.

purrrrfection - 2005 Ford Mustang
By laila - August 2 - 11:43 amMy husband surprised me with my dream car, 24 years after the first time I ever laid eyes on Eleanor, at 17. Perfect cannot describe her. Sleek black on grey leather, and the retro interior is absolutely fantastic. She is a pleasure to drive, and a blast to play with. I think the most amazing thing Ive experienced is the look on others faces when they see a 40 year old woman behind the wheel! People think its my sons car when we are together. He proudly announces...no she belongs to my mom.
