Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.
- Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
- No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

Awesome Vehicle - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Mustang Lover - May 6 - 8:03 amI am 42 years old and have owned many cars. I have never had a car that I like as much as this Mustang GT. I actually enjoy driving again. The car is beautiful and powerful at 300 horsepower. It is a bargain starting at under $25,000 with many standard features.

2006 Mustang HOT off the assembly line - 2005 Ford Mustang
By E Jankowski - April 27 - 4:36 amThe 06 Mustang is awesome. A few changes from 2005; two new colors and wheels that now sport the pony logo instead of the Ford emblem. My car is Tungsten Gray, a new Mustang color that looks different under different light conditions. At midday its silver metallic with a light blue tone. At dusk it takes on a faint purple tone and sometimes it looks silver gray. The retro styling is very cool. I catch people checking it out all the time. If you dont want to attract a lot of attention wherever you go dont buy a Mustang! As for performance WOW! From the rumble to the grip of the Pirelli performance tires as you navigate turns. Plenty of awesome power to get your license into trouble.

Love It - 2005 Ford Mustang
By MustangLT - April 27 - 4:00 amWhat can I say - I have been a Mustang person my whole life. Last one I had was a 93, waited through the last 2 body styles and glad I did - I have a GT and love it - handles GREAT, sounds great, feels great. Love the retro dash styling. Five-speed shifts like a dream.

the best - 2005 Ford Mustang
By brian - April 24 - 2:00 pmThis car is amazing! It feels looks and performs like a vehicle two classes above what its in. For $33.5 loaded, you just cant get a better looking and performing car anywhere. To match it youd need to spend at least $45k. I almost gave in a bought a coupe when they hit the market, but am so glad I waited for the convertible. Hint - to really change it and make its classic lines more evident, order it without the spoiler.

I love my Mustang - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Debbie - April 21 - 2:56 pmThis car is far better than the 1989 GT we used to own. I love the retro-style. The V-6 has enough horsepower to get up and go. We chose the V-6 over the GT model purely for the insurance rates. The insurance was double on the GT. I have the windveil blue with the white stripes on the sides.

GoPonyGo - 2005 Ford Mustang
By ABuddy82 - April 11 - 1:33 amI bought my new Mustang over the weekend. Its firered with red leather. Shaker 1000 which blocks out the exhaust so I never turn it on. Its like listening to heaven with every shift. Very easy to drive and comfortable on a long trip. MPG are in the low 20s but its a muscle car. It wont shift into 1st until the last possible second but has enough torque in 2nd to get out of the way. Really enjoy it. It gets a lot of attention which sometime can be a bad thing. But everyone is your best friend when you pull up in this. After the shock of the new one wears off, Ill still be happy with my purhcase.I probably shouldnt have bought it but the Mustang has always been an emotional thing.

By pony man - April 5 - 12:33 pmSimply the best car I have ever owned and the most fun to drive. Bought it in Dec. 05; was a head turner then, and is a head turner now. Ford got it right. Bought it for my wife (lol) and will be buying another one for myself as soon as they come out with ... COBRA!

Sonic Blue Pony - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Stan - April 5 - 4:20 amHaving waited since 1969 I was thrilled at the prospect of finally getting a Pony of the past but with the goodies of today. Mine was born 11/4 and she arrived the day before Thanksgiving. In many ways better than expected and in some ways somewhat disappointed. All in all I am very happy. She loves to run and sounds great out of the gate.
