Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.
- Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
- No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

I LOVE it! - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Terry - January 3 - 12:36 amThis car is so fun to drive! I had a 2002 Mustang and it cannot compare to the new one. I feel safer; the roof is not so close to your head. I absolutely recommend this car with no hesitations!

Perfect Summer Car - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Sons Stang - December 10 - 12:50 amThe seats remind you of a BMW, dash of the classic Mustang, Shaker stereo system is impressive with nice features like random play and has great sound quality. The turn signal sounds like a Cadillac. In fact the ride feels like what I imagine a Cadillac CTS would feel like. But the engine purrs like a kitty and can growl like a tiger when you step on it. The 2005 Stang redefines what a modern day muscle car should be. It is comfortable enough to drive every day and still enjoy it without regret. The only thing missing is a telescoping steering wheel for tall people who will tend to recline more. The steering wheel doesnt tilt down as far as I would have expected. This car is Revolutionary!

GT Convertible is a blast to drive - 2005 Ford Mustang
By carlosp51 - November 16 - 11:56 amThis is an awesome car. If you love Mustangs, you will be a fan. I have owned a 1971 coupe, 96 GT Convertible, and now this one. No other Mustang has been quite as satisfying. It drives smoother, feels roomier, and has a lot of "giddy-up." The lines of this car are phenomenal, with or without the spoiler. The interior is very satisfying, although you wont get a lot of the European/Japanese fancy features that can be very nice. It is a muscle car and it feels like a muscle car.

I Love My Car - 2005 Ford Mustang
By DChristian - November 7 - 1:10 pmI have people stop me all the time with questions about my car. Ive wanted THIS Mustang since 1969, and couldnt be happier with it. The only negatives I can think of would be the front seat headrests. Could have been designed to be more comfortable, I think. And I have a 5-speed and I think someone with longer arms would have trouble shifting comfortably, especially if they had something in the cupholder. Everything else is perfection!

If they could just get small things fixed - 2005 Ford Mustang
By criziz - October 30 - 12:13 amThe car overall is fabulous. The only sticking point is the radio (Shaker 500) and the heater control unit. Ive had 4 radios in the car and it still doesnt work correctly. The heater control unit pumps air through the defrost and feet even when it isnt on. Fords response? Tell the customer thats how it is supposed to work. Thats simple irresponsible to say. My service manager allowed me to hear that on a phone call to Ford. Unbelievable. Shame on Ford for that. Now that doesnt mean I dislike the car, its fabulous and a blast to drive. Just hate the company for thinking so little of their loyal customers.

Randys Mustang Review - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Randolph W.Mills - October 28 - 3:53 pmI bought my first Mustang in 1970 when I returned from overseas duty with the U.S.Navy . It was a 1968 model. I have owned Mustangs ever since. I must admit that this is the finest Mustang that has ever been produced . The acceleration is outstanding and the handling is superb . The styling is what sold me on this car. It brought back fond memories to me and my wife of 34 years.

A Poor Mans Bentley Continental GT - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Walt Lockwood - October 24 - 6:36 pmThe 2005 Mustang GT surpasses my other five Mustang purchases -- all GTs. From the moment it is placed in drive, the responsiveness is unparalleled. Handling is superb although the ride is a bit rough. The body workmanship is noticeably well done, e.g., no gaps or ripples and everything fits well. The downside are the front seats, i.e., the head rests are too far forward causing both a pain in the neck and a back ache when driving for any distance. While the seat is adjustable in virtually every direction it could move, no setting produces a comfortable ride -- the headrest is not adjustable. Still, for the price, its probably the best sports buy of the American market.

My Mustang Sally - 2005 Ford Mustang
By lauram - October 14 - 3:46 pmI got my convertible Mustang as a graduation gift and I love it. It rides wonderfully and the wind noise is not bad at all. With the top down my hair doesnt fly completely out of control. The windshield blocks most of the wind. my only complaint is the itty bitty back seat leg room. But I dont ride back there so I dont care!

Unbelieveable - 2005 Ford Mustang
By dls - September 27 - 11:50 amAfter searching through two states just picked up my black on black GT. If all I could take from this buy was the feeling of the first 15 minutes of driving this machine it would be worth it. Even paying MSRP the GT is a bargain. You can talk about the power and handling but it really comes down to how this car makes you feel when you are in it. Great job Ford.

V-6 better deal - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Lana Feulner - September 20 - 8:06 amCustomer service is a 2. All this talk about the V8 being so great ... well I test drove it and thought it was too masculine and loud for a females taste! In addition, I requested to exchange a hood with no spoiler. I love the new design of the Ford Mustang with its smooth lines .... without the spoiler and the fog lights (gag - gag and gag.) This look is the "real" Mustang." Love the Windveil blue. Best idea is to purchase the car with cloth seats and then upgrade leather at dealers cost - only $1163.00
