- Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
- No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

One Great Car - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Chris Brown - September 17 - 6:03 amThis is the first new Mustang I have ever owned and it is GREAT! I have an 89 LX convertible that I have owned since 89 and have had a 65 Mustang. This car is faster, tighter, better made and looks better than any Mustang ever built.

I got my Mustang convertible without paying the usual dealer premium; even if I had to pay it I would still be thrilled with my car. This one is definitely another keeper. I highly recommend the Legend Lime Green metallic

I cant put into words how this Mustang has lived up to my expectations - Ive been a Mustang lover for many years and finally now own a new one (owned a 65 in the mid 80s). Oh my gosh! Its amazing - solid, GORGEOUS, FAST! Everything the legend is known for plus the creature comforts of our modern age. Kudos to Ford - I think they designed this car just for me! :) Oh my gosh! AMAZING! I just brought it home today and keep going out into the garage about every 5- 10 minutes...its that good!

By k9patroldog - September 10 - 6:43 pmThis is a wonderful car to drive. The Mustang will turn a head or two. There is a small hesitation in the acceleration when you first press the accelerator but when the transmission finds the lower gear, sit back and enjoy the ride.

The best Stang yet - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Debbie - August 28 - 12:46 amIve been driving Mustangs for 31 years and the 05 is the best of them all. Its hard to go the speed limit because this pony can do so much so easily. Acceleration is fast with just a touch of the pedal. I prefer a manual and the new position of the stick makes for quick shifts. This stang also feels the most solid on the road and the ride lets you feel the road without getting bruised. The comfort of the seats is a great improvement and I feel like Im in a recliner. I could drive this car all day. And its nice to finally hear the rumble of the exhaust on the inside, sounding fast even at 30 mph. Chrome wheels with spinners hubs fit this body style, reminiscent of the 60s.

By laila - August 2 - 11:43 amMy husband surprised me with my dream car, 24 years after the first time I ever laid eyes on Eleanor, at 17. Perfect cannot describe her. Sleek black on grey leather, and the retro interior is absolutely fantastic. She is a pleasure to drive, and a blast to play with. I think the most amazing thing Ive experienced is the look on others faces when they see a 40 year old woman behind the wheel! People think its my sons car when we are together. He proudly announces...no she belongs to my mom.

Fun in the Sun - 2005 Ford Mustang
By 2k5droptop - July 24 - 2:26 amHave had other convertibles in the past - this one is by far THE most fun to drive! Exterior is stylish with that retro feel. Interior is more comfortable than I expected (unless you are in the rear seat). Car is surprisingly quiet even when driving with the top and all windows down - you can actually hold a normal conversation. Engine is strong and transmission is smooth ( 5 speed automatic). While cruising the engine is pretty quiet - when you step on the gas youll hear that throaty rumble that lets you know whats under the hood. This car really is a blast to drive.

Man, What a ride - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Sandman - July 15 - 8:16 amI have had my 2005 GT for three months and 6500 miles, and man what a ride. This is my fourth Mustang, having had a 67, 69 and 74, this is by far the best. I live on the north coast of California, The roads here are built for this car, lots of curve and twists along Highway 101 and through the redwoods put this car to the test and man, what a ride. I recently took a trip to San Francisco and got 23 miles to a gallon, and I was not driving slow. In and out of traffic the car is a blast to drive and it does get a lot of looks and thumbs up from folks along the way. Would recommend this car to anyone who takes pleasure in driving.
