This Year's Model Updates:

The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.

Pros:
  • Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
Cons:
  • No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

i think the car is awesome in pretty much every way. i think you should make it just like the older cars (mustangs) because there is nothing like a classic car

When I started to see the initial development of the concept I about fell over. I saw the actual concept last Nov in Vegas at the SEMA show and was still blown away. The only real change I found between the concept and the showfloor model is the exhaust. The concept had it coming out of the rear bumper. The actual does not. That probably is the only change I would make. Performance wise there is no comparison in its class. I read a magazine review that stated the engine was built like a canvas ready to be made into a work of art. Which it is, it is easy to access every part of the engine and its components. And the interior is not to shabby, maybe you should decide for yourself.

I liked the car - so I bought one. Its relatively fun to drive, but I can tell that Ill be getting rid of it in a year or two. It requires "work" to drive it and thats not always what I want out of a car. I looks awesome and sounds great but steering is tough and the response is tight.

I love the retro look - the old school. I get lots of compliments along with people leaving a lot of fingerprints all over my car but thats ok. Im loving it. I ordered mine in black with red seats leather. I am trying to find louvers for it to make it complete . i put chrome bullit rims on mine looks great AAA+

This is my 4th Mustang, and so far I have 300 Miles on it, I always been a Mustang Fan and with this retro-redesign, I would never been happier. My last car was a 1999 Mustang GT, and I just trade it for this baby. I would highly recomend this Mustang to everyone. The Power, the handling, the Power, the styling, the Power, the performance, the Power, the sound, the Power, the equipment, the Power... O by the way the Power.. 300Hp!! Imagine when they start producing After Market Tuning Equipment... Also the Red Trim Interior Package ives the car a super sporty retro look and the MyColor Gauge option complements it. The Shaker Sound system, Great!!

My 2005 Mustang Convertible lived up to my every expectation. Beautiful car in every regard - if you like if from the outside you will love it from the inside. Sitting behind the wheel with the long hood, throaty exhaust and heavy feel of the car is not unlike driving a Corvette, without that cars acceleration. The 6 cylinder has some power but is best for cruising. A real eye catcher from the outside attracts some stares and comments, the inside is beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. Top is easy to open, nice feature of automatically putting down the windows before opening, closing top. Shaker 500 system sounds great. Just waiting for the summer to get here.

  • Nice, but.... - 2005 Ford Mustang

I took delivery of this ordered Mustang in February 2005. I did test drive it and love the ride, but I must say now that I have had it awhile and have put 3,000 miles on it Ford could do better. The interior plastics feel cheap and I have had a few problems already. First the window on this car edges up a 1/4 inch or so when you shut the door; mine stopped working and leaked. The speaker cover fell off on my drivers door. Why did Ford not put vanity lights in the mirrors? The gas milage even driving easy stinks. Im averaging 14 mpg.

Waited several months to receive delivery on Red Convertible. Everything I expected. Have taken three trips: around Colorado (over 12000 foot mountain pass), into South Dakota and through Wyoming, Montana, Canada Rockies, Washington, Oregon and Utah. Handled beautifully! Very responsive. A solid car, corners very well (makes driving fun again). I get at least one compliment each time I take it out on the road.

Ford did great with this one. The ride is smooth and the power is awesome. The looks of the car speak for itself. Going back to the old body style really has gone well for Ford. This one gets a lot of looks and comments. So far we have really enjoyed our purchase.

Mustang GT has great handling and acceleration. Interior comfort is much improved over past models. The traction control gives the car excellent handling ability.
