The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.

Pros:
  • Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
Cons:
  • No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

WOW! I Luv It. I I havent been impressed by the stangs over the past years, BUT ITS BACK NOW! I grew up with Mustangs and Shelbys so to watch it return to form is a smart move by Ford. The GT has the power of the Shelby and Cobra of the 60s, so look out the muscle is back. 300HP V8 screams excitement on the road. Plus the 6" wide wheel base adds to stability. Although the Shaker audio system sounds great the exhaust sounds better and echoes the pure power of this Mustang. The MPG for the power is better than expected. This is a muscle car and you will love ever inch of it. Expect a lot of attention, young and old are turning their heads to this totally redesigned Mustang of the past.

After less than a thousand miles Ford had to replace my entire engine because a loud noise was coming from it and they didnt know what was causing it. The new engine is making a new awkward noise. The wheel brackets had to be changed at 1200 miles because everytime I would turn the wheel, clanking noises would be heard. The interior has many rattling noises that can drive a person crazy, and going over cracks on the road is no vacation. There is a loud whistle coming from the engine at exactly 1500 rpm. Ford service is too slow and doesnt show much appreciation for its customers. Every time a problem is fixed a new one shows up. Spend your money on something of better quality.

Waited 6 weeks after ordering for delivery. V-6 Premium convertible. White with Parchment top and parchment leather, interior upgrade package, 5 speed auto, anti-lock brakes/traction control, exterior sport appearance package. Even non-Ford fans can`t help but take a second look and make positive comments. Neighborhood kids coming by to take a look. Power and shift ranges seems just about right for a v-6. After careful examination cant find any flaws with paint or fit of exterior parts. Still playing with the My Color dash light feature (can`t decide on color I like best).Top is getting easier to lock down after raising it as it stretches. Less than expected road noise with top up.

From engine start up to engine shut down it is an experience I have not had since I was 19 in a new SS 396 Chevelle. Pure unadulterated fun and enjoyment.

I get more looks and thumbs up than my 79 Harley! Truly love the style and throaty sound coming from the dual tips. 60s touches with modern performance and handling. Im reliving my youth vicariously thru my car.

  • I love my little pony - 2005 Ford Mustang

I ordered from the factory and waited five months for my pony to arrive. It was so worth it! I am so happy with this car. It looks amazing and still is one of a kind in my area. It is so much fun to drive. There is, as expected, limited back seat space. She doesnt get great gas mileage. However, she handles beautifully; love the real wheel drive, very sturdy around corners. Realistically, this is not a family car. It is a fun, play car. And she is more fun that words could adequately describe! Assuming you invest in a V8, 5 speed. and do something to personalize it and make it yours .... and be greedy about letting people drive it. It is rare and it IS YOURS!

Ive owned four Mustangs, 1984-GT, 1986-GT convertible, 2000-V-6 and a 2000-GT (auto) and now a 2005-GT(5-speed) So far this is the best of all. The performance is great and handling is better than any of the above that I have owned. Gas mileage is good (20 mph in town and 22-24 on highway. Have to be careful what brand of gas (87) that I use to get the above mileage. Just about everyone that sees it gives it a thumbs up!

  • Who could ask for more?! - 2005 Ford Mustang

I never thought I could find a car I liked better than my last two, both Toyota Celicas, but I was wrong. Ive had my 2005 Mustang for a few weeks now and its everything and more than I could want! Although it feels so much bigger than the Celica, its very nimble. It feels good, looks good and sounds good. Who could ask for more?

  • What A Ride! - 2005 Ford Mustang

This car is everything I expected it to be. I am not a huge Ford Mustang fan of the past couple decades, but this one I had to own. The white stripes down the center of my car make it even more of an eye catcher then it already is. The power of the engine is awesome. The handling is dead on. I have never, knock on wood, had a speeding ticket. I have a feeling its gonna happen. You cant help it. The car is fast and smooth and before you know it you are going 80 MPH. I love this car.
