2001 Ford Mustang GT models get unique hood and side scoops, so that you can tell 'em apart from V6 models. They also receive standard 17-inch wheels, and V6 Convertibles get 16-inch wheels as standard. All cars have a revised center console and blacked-out headlights and spoilers. The Mach 460 stereo system comes with an in-dash six-disc CD changer. A new "premium" trim line is created for both V6 and V8 models. After a one-year hiatus, the Ford SVT Mustang Cobra returns for 2001.

  Only probs i had was that when you shift from first to second, there is a loud noise and you can feel the transmission shaking. didnt notice it in a 2002 test drive. also, squeeky noises from the rear suspension. took it into ford but they couldnt find a problem.

  As can be expected you get tons of looks from young and old. Outside design was a big selling point for me as I think that this current iteration of the Mustang is one of the best designs yet. Interior build quality is another matter. Overall material quality is good but big gaps here and there mar what should be a decent interior. As for gas mileage - I get an average of 23mpg.

  This car puts a smile on my face every time I get in. I owned two other Stangs and this is the best naturally aspirated Mustang Ive ever driven. No one can keep up with me on a cloverleaf. It sticks to the road like a go cart.

  I love this car, it rides very smooth and has great acceleration and pickup. I find the seats to be comfortable and they have a nice grip to them. Fuel economy, its a sports car! When I drive it reasonably I get decent gas mileage when I get on it, I dont. This is a very fun car, I traded a 00 GT for it. To me it beats the GT in all aspects. It gets lots of looks and people ask me to rev it a lot. Its a Cobra :) More than a car, a symbol!

  I got a mineral grey auto 2001 mustang and it has all the toys and leather. Whew that all black interior looks bad!!!! Just waxed the car with Zymoil and put chrome polish on the rims and put wheel wax on the tires.. and that car shines!! Man. to count the endless number of looks and complements. This car is off da heeze fo sheeze

  I bought this vehicle on October 1st after combing the web for what I wanted for a first new vehicle. Thankfully they had one on site at the dealership. This is the most amazing car Ive ever driven. I love Ford products, but even their luxury cars dont fit me as well as this one does. Definitley a great buy!

  Great car. Looks great, performs great, just cant be beat for the price. Only problem I have is that I cant shift into 5th over 75 mph without the gears grinding a little.

  Outstanding high performance car for the money. Comparing to the other sports cars on the market, everything is either underpowered or overpriced for the product being purchased. The Ford Mustang GT is by far the most bang for the buck. I have been thouroughly impressed with the car!
