The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.

• Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.

• No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

  The new Mustnag is such an eye catcher. Everyone turns their head to check this car out. If you are thinking about getting one, go test drive it today. That is what sold me and my husband. He ended up buying me one for Christmas.

  Engine problems...with only 250 miles! - 2005 Ford Mustang

  I love my Mustang, thats a given, but beware. Hopefully this was a fluke, but with exactly 250 miles on my odometer, my engine blew on the 5 freeway in LA. A spring broke in valve # 5, causing the valve to bend. My engine was replaced with a brand new one. I still love the car, but want to give people a heads up that there might be a problem with the engines in the GT. The car is an absolute blast to drive when its not at the dealership getting worked on! : )

  This car was well worth the wait. Its a blast to drive, and people love to look at it. Ive only had a few problems with it (mentioned below). I do wish it had more hp. I know that sounds insane, but it should have hp equal to that ugly GTO that Pontiac is making. This car is rated less than the 98 Camaro. Seven years later those cars should not be able to keep up with Ford. That said, this is way better than any Mustang ever made, even the 69. Classic car guys will disagree, but this one beats in in quality, performance, sound system, mpg, paint quality, crash tests, and driveablity. Love the car.

  An e-ticket ride. The GT 300 hp engine is a rocket ship on wheels. Ive had 4 Mustangs, my favorite until now was a red 3511972 Mach 1. This car is superior in every way in acceleration and handling, although Mustangs always do best when traveling in a straight line. Forget the back seats, this is a two person car. Nice leather finished seats are comfortable.

  I love this car! It has a great retro look and a lot of get up and go for a V- 6. This is my third Mustang; my first was a 1966 convertible and my second (my first new car) was a 1982 L sedan. My 2005 Mustang tops them both! Ive only had one problem with the car -- the power lock on the passenger side doesnt work and hasnt since day one. Since Im usually the only one in the car, Ive arranged to get it fixed on my first service visit.

  ...so why not treat yourself to a Mustang GT? I did! Enough power to play with the big boys. Enough styling to play with the big girls. Excellent value for the price. Not looking forward to when I have to put her away for the winter :-(. But then Ill have that much more to look forward to the next spring :-).

  Having the car less than a month, doesnt allow for too much experience. However, we bought the car w/ a full tank of gas, the wrong gas, so our engine light is on all the time until we refill. I dont like the trunk opening as its too small for some items. although once you get the item in, there is plenty of trunk space. I think the center console sets too high up for my liking, but otherwise fun car that weve dubbed "Fire in the Hole"

  Ive had high hopes for the 05 since I saw the concept drawings 2 years ago. Since then Ive waited patiently and in October, my wait was over. I cant say enough for this car. After having 7 (so far) different Mustangs, this is by far the nicest, most comfortable and capable of the breed. The new interior is worlds beyond the old. The entire car actually makes all previous models just fall way behind. Its a home run for sure in my book.
