Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.
- Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.
- No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

Stang Happy - 2005 Ford Mustang
By StangHappy - April 30 - 11:33 pmGreat driving experiences this stang of mine. The handling is very responsive meaning I have a quick way to get out of the way of all those SUVs on the road today. Im very pleased, and impressed, with Fords better idea for the 2005 Stang. Keep up the good work, a 9.5 in my book.

Very Happy - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Lyons - April 30 - 10:13 amFirst of all, the car is beautiful. It has a wonderful retro look to it, and yet is styled for the modern consumer. The legend lime paint is a beautiful color and blends perfectly with the parchment interior and top. The leather seating is very comfortable. You are able to retract and replace the top with minimal effort. I was also surprised with the trunk room. It appeared to be small, but when I put in my files and bag for work I was surprised to see I still had room for much more in the trunk. The driving power was a pleasant surprise for a V-6, and the ability to turn so tightly with such stability is incredible. I am very happy with my purchase.

Live for today - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Evil_Oppie - April 29 - 7:06 amThe only purchase that I have made that puts a smile on my face every time I see it. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning whenever I start my Mustang. The fun I have behind the wheel encourages me to take the long way and enjoy the scenery. I recommend this car for anyone that is tired of the humdrum drive to & from as a chore and make it a dream.

By Waltger - April 28 - 5:56 pmBest car I ever purchased. Car is awesome. Real muscle performance. Great response even with 5 speed auto transmission. GT in short supply. Very difficult to find without dealer markup in Northeast area.

Reliving our youth - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Rmtnone - April 23 - 2:00 amMy husband and I bought our Mustang in April, and so far we are very happy with every aspect of the car. We find the handling and performance of the car outstanding. My husband compares it to his 68 Mustang and thinks it is even more fun. We have the exterior sports package and I have to say that we could live without the Mustang decal, but that is probably the only thing we would change. Overall, this a great car, we would prefer to get better gas mileage, but if your going to have a car like this I guess gas mileage isnt at the top of your list. Reliving your youth could be though. Thanks Ford for bringing back a REAL Mustang!

2005 Mustang V6 Premium 5-Speed - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Marshall Haynick - April 23 - 12:00 amFor a six cylinder Mustang it is surprisingly quick. The interior is a little cheap, but hey its a low cost car. There is enough power to have fun and the handling is much improved. The 5-speed manual allows for a fun to drive attitude and all the standard power features is a nice option.

60s Mustang with todays best - 2005 Ford Mustang
By California Tom - April 18 - 6:56 amI first read about the car last year and it reminded me of my 69. 5 months and 9000 miles later, it is my dream car. The distinction of my 69 with todays comfort and safety. The 5 speed manual isnt the smoothest around, but get it - an easy drop down to fourth and I am gone in traffic. Handling is spot on; I love taking curves in this thing. With upgrades, great interior/exterior styling cues; hardly a day goes by without a look, smile or comment. Averaging 23-26 MPG. The stereo sounds great and I can drive for hours either on cruise control or through traffic with a wide smile. Trunk holds golf bag, softball bags and groceries with ease, but not for a family of 4.

2005 Ford Mustang GT - 2005 Ford Mustang
By Brandy Bergstresser - April 14 - 5:00 pmMy new Ford GT has been awesome to drive. Its the best car Ive ever owned. Its power is incredible and its so smooth. I barely even notice when I go over a bump, and theres no wind noise. Its very comfortable. My leather interior is so fine. The Ford Mustang GT exterior and interior is extremely well made. Ive had SO many compliments on it! As soon as people see it and drive it, they want to own one themselves.

V6 Premium Coupe, Fun on Wheels - 2005 Ford Mustang
By lcimpala65 - April 11 - 10:40 amThe V6 premium coupe is over shadowed by its big brother. Ford purposely downplays the performance of this model. The 4.0 is all you need. This thing has ample power, and will accelerate in a flash with four people on board. It is a blast to drive, youll find yourself longing for open road.

Best Mustang ever! - 2005 Ford Mustang
By ppgooding - April 3 - 10:23 pmLike a lot of car nuts, I put off a decision for 2 years while waiting for this car to arrive. It arrived, and I bought it. Im amazed at the job Ford did with this car. It is a dream to drive, surefooted and solid as a rock. The V6 is a wonder, a huge improvement over the old one. The 5-speed auto shifts as smooth as butter. The styling is .... let me put it this way: Get used to having people come up to talk to you about it. Its one of those cars that looks better in person than it does in pictures ... and the pictures look really good. The car is a knockout. I may never buy another car.
