The 2005 Ford Mustang is completely redesigned.

• Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a solid axle suspension can get, slick retro interior, much improved cabin ergonomics.

• No side curtain airbags or stability control, seats could use more lateral support.

  Engine problems...with only 250 miles! - 2005 Ford Mustang

  I love my Mustang, thats a given, but beware. Hopefully this was a fluke, but with exactly 250 miles on my odometer, my engine blew on the 5 freeway in LA. A spring broke in valve # 5, causing the valve to bend. My engine was replaced with a brand new one. I still love the car, but want to give people a heads up that there might be a problem with the engines in the GT. The car is an absolute blast to drive when its not at the dealership getting worked on! : )

  An e-ticket ride. The GT 300 hp engine is a rocket ship on wheels. Ive had 4 Mustangs, my favorite until now was a red 3511972 Mach 1. This car is superior in every way in acceleration and handling, although Mustangs always do best when traveling in a straight line. Forget the back seats, this is a two person car. Nice leather finished seats are comfortable.

  ...so why not treat yourself to a Mustang GT? I did! Enough power to play with the big boys. Enough styling to play with the big girls. Excellent value for the price. Not looking forward to when I have to put her away for the winter :-(. But then Ill have that much more to look forward to the next spring :-).

  Ive had high hopes for the 05 since I saw the concept drawings 2 years ago. Since then Ive waited patiently and in October, my wait was over. I cant say enough for this car. After having 7 (so far) different Mustangs, this is by far the nicest, most comfortable and capable of the breed. The new interior is worlds beyond the old. The entire car actually makes all previous models just fall way behind. Its a home run for sure in my book.

  I special ordered this car in April of 2004 and received it last October. It was worth the wait. The front passengers have plenty of room compared to the older models, and the car is driver friendly. This is a gorgeous car! Im still getting used to people hanging out of their cars staring as I go down the road.

  Be prepared for the ford enthusiasts to be chasing you down and asking questions. This model is arguably the best produced. Being the only one in my county to own one gets me ALOT of looks and ALOT of questions. This car definetly has no lack in power. If you dont like the pirelli P Zero tires just burn them off through first and second. The neighbors may not like the smoke but youve got something to accomplish. This interior has much more head room than past models (I know this for a fact cause I traded in a 99 Mustang). The 5 speed shift is also positioned much better and the stereo system has been improved vastly. No words can describe what it feels like to drive this car.

  We werent planning on buying a Mustang, just taking a look, but the price was right and the retro style was too good to pass up. We are very pleased with the way the car handles. It has lots of get up and go, and there is no roll when cornering. The Shaker 500 sound system is an excellent stereo and the car is very comfortable when driving long distances. We love the retro look, but never would have guessed how many people would stare when we drive by; its a real head turner. This car is a keeper, we plan to own it for a long time.

  Saw the 2005 Mustang and it took me back to my teens. I could not resist the Torch Red. Its fun to drive and gets looks from everyone. Best Christmas present I have ever given myself.

  This is a car that real mustangers have been waiting for, for 40 years!! I would advise Ford to continue running down the road of Retro, They havent had anything in a car woth driving since the late 60s early 70s. I did say car. I do Drive an F-150, There still is no better truck on the Road today!! Back to the Real Mustang! The 03 and 04 were giving some Glimore of hope but still did not go far enough! But Now!!! The Generation that Dreamed of having one of these cars back in the day can have a real Mustang!!! With the change of Platform and design it seems that someone at Ford that actually has some car passion got involved and made our dream come true!!
