  • Taurus or Fusion - 2014 Ford Fusion
    By -

I currently own a 2011 Taurus and I was looking for another one. Then I started seeing these Fusions on the road, I really love the way the front end looks. The rear could use some work though. I only drive about 8 miles per day so it wasnt a huge sacrifice on comfort not getting a Taurus. So I bought a used 2014 w/1.5l eccoboost and its very responsive, that was my main concern. It still is very comfortable for the size and has a nice quiet cabin. Test drive one and see.

The transmission and motor are both unreliable and poor after a certain amount of time and the air bag light with out a reason

  • So impressed we bought another Fusion - 2014 Ford Fusion

We use the Fusion to commute between two states and put about 1000 miles on it bi-weekly. When our 2014 got to about 75,000 miles we traded it in for a new2017 AWD Fusion eco-boost. Several nice updates but its the same, exceptionally well handling vehicle vehicle weve come to rely on.

    good reliable vehicle

  • Very smooth Ride - 2014 Ford Fusion

This is a very solid, comfortable vehicle. I love the instrumentation and the driving comfort. For a while I was making several 150 mi. round trips. In my previous economy car, those trips would wear me out- the car was so un-ergonomical. But making the same drive in the Fusion was a very pleasant experience which I could complete and still feel raring to go when I got back. very pleasant. The great sound system also added to my overall enjoyment. Plenty of room in the back seat, even for some of my more long-legged friends. And the trunk space is enormous. And, like another reviewer said, i too found myself often turning back to just take in the lines and lush style and beautiful color of this car.

Bought 2014 fushion se used with 20000 on it. Now 40000 miles and trans went out totally gone no warning nothing just started it and no drive.the sync system sucks. Its always doing its own thing. The air comes on when you want heat. Electronical nightmare. If i could go back in time i would not have bought this car and will never go to kunes ford in wisconsin ever again so rude people they promise you everthing until u sign then its all lies no one cares. They even said to me oh well you bought it its your problem now. Nice huh. Never again ford.

  • Unreliable junk low quality build - 2014 Ford Fusion

This car has been a headache. 6 recalls. Leather seats prematurely worn. I had 38k miles on it. Warranty is a joke. Multiple trips to dealer for transmission issues. Motor doesnt get mpg. Ford was sued for that. Things dont line up on parts on the interior so garbage build quality. The sync info system is a total glitchy and slow garbage screen to have to use. The auto unlock function with key fob doesnt work consistently or it keeps relocking the door as your open it. Another glitchy garbage feature. My last ford. 2nd fusion Ive owned and both had major issues. My wife used to love fords. Not anymore. Update 8 11 17 All the same issues as above. Except that knocking in reverse coming from the car. Very nice. 51k miles.

  • Would not buy again - 2014 Ford Fusion

The transmission never shifted into Drive properly. There was a delay in shifting then the transmission would slam into Drive. Mechanics said it needed a PCM software update. The PCM and the TCM software was updated and it didnt change anything. This started occurring within one month of vehicle purchase (New). This is a known problem and will eventually lead to a Valve Body Replacement or full transmission rebuild which would be very expensive. There was constant problems with the software. The GPS was often off by several hundred feet. It would show you driving down the road except the GPS line of travel would be off to the left of the actual line of travel. The car often refused to start even with a full battery, constantly acting like it was in remote start mode where the engine is running but the power is off. Except the engine and power would both be off but the car "brain" would think differently. Because many of the systems require power to b in sleep mode, many times the battery would be dead after just a couple of hours sitting. Diagnosing a parasitic drain showed the drain was normal, but the battery that came stock with the car was not enough to stay charged with the parasitic draw that is in fact normal. Battery replacement was mandatory for a new car and should not have been. But it did fix the problem. There are many videos online with people with the same problem with the Fusion and Focus. Sitting still the glass in the sunroof cracked. The temperature was in the 70s and the car was not moving with no trees, other cars or anything else around. It simply cracked. The glass in these roofs is made to shatter. Others have complained about the same problem. This occured within about two months of purchasing the vehicle. As I was told, "It isnt Fords problem". Well it is now since we went back to Kia. After buying three new trucks and three new cars in five years we thought we would give Ford a try since we did like the Fusion Titanium when we test drove. However, that experience with Ford, attitudes in service whenever we brought it in for service and the complete 180 from our experience with Kia had us completely ignore Ford when we were looking for a new car. Bottom line. Thirty seven years of car buying and ovr 20 new cars and 10 new trucks that was our first Ford and it will be our last Ford.

  • My dream car! - 2014 Ford Fusion
    By -

I love this car! I had to start with that. This is a really nice car. I had previously rented a Ford Fusion Titanium and I instantly fell in love with the way it drove and the really cool features it had. I was sad to give it back, lol! So I decided to get one myself. This car rocks! The Ford Fusion is a midsize, but it feels bigger on the inside. It handles like a smaller car. It has a very confident feel in the way it goes down the road. On the highway, its like a luxury car. Very quiet and stable. I have the Titanium trim which has the 2.0 Turbo four. It pulls like a V6. The interior is also very nice. Nice soft touch plastics, an awesome sound system, and a great navigation system, make the interior a very inviting place. You also change the color of the mood lights. I have no worries that itll be reliable and hold together for a long time. It feels like itll last for a long time. **Update** Its been a year since I bought my Fusion and Im still excited about it! I still get gitty walking to the car every time I drive it. It really is an enjoyable car to drive. I do a lot of highway travel and this is the best car Ive owned for long distance travel. The seats are very comfortable, the ride is awesome. It is on the firm side of comfortable, but still very compliant. I havent had any issues over the past year with it. It has been very reliable. Im not planning on getting a new car for a while, but when time comes to get a new car, I would love to get another Fusion. It really is a great value and fun car to drive.
