  • Great Car - 2006 Ford Fusion
    By -

Bought this Fusion a few weeks ago and love it! Drives great - the steering is responsive - it really hugs the road. The car is fully loaded - leather interior - which is very comfortable. I did purchase it with an extended warranty - 3 yr / 36000 mi. - just in case since I bought the car used. The quality and workmanship has drastically improved when compared to my previous Fords. In fact - quality wise it is as good as our Toyota. Great job FORD!!

I have only owned this car a month, but she is a joy to drive and I dont regret the purchase one bit. Only time will tell how reliable it will be, however Ford gets an A+ for now.

  • Best Ive owned.. - 2006 Ford Fusion

First off, let me start by saying Im in sales, so I drive a lot. Im very hard on my cars, and few hold up. This Ford has been amazing! I bought it with 65,000 miles on it and put another 45,000 on it over the next year. I have had zero problems! Not one. This is the only car Ive owned that I can say that. Love it! Great job Ford!

  • Visability and Steering Are horrible - 2006 Ford Fusion
    By -

I owned a Taurus for 10 years before purchasing the Fusion, and loved it. I am trading in my Fusion. The back-end is too high and limits visability. Ive had to brake suddenly more than once. Also the steering is too tight!! It feels like there is no power steering. You need a wide approach just to make it into a typical parking space. I wont be trading for another Ford, because the choice is limited in this price range.

  • Owners Beware! - 2006 Ford Fusion

I have a 2006 Fusion 4 cylinder 5 speed. I generally enjoyed this car and was enthusiastic about it until 2 weeks ago when the locater pins fell out of the fly wheel destroying the transmission, clutch and fly wheel. The Ford tech says it is a fault of the manufacturer but Ford says, sorry guarantee is up. To make matters worse I have been waiting two weeks for parts as simple as the bolts that secure the pressure plate to the fly wheel. I bought this car to support the American manufacturer. The next guy I support will be named Hans. This has been an nightmare.

  • I was duped - 2006 Ford Fusion

This car is a fair car fell very short on mileage 15-17 on the V-6 in town. I am using good gas also, and driving habits. I was told by the dealer the mileage is figured out on a flat surface at 35-45 mph it says 20-29mpg on the sticker, not so on my vehicle. The good things; 6 speed auto very good. Sound system is good, AC is great. Noisy brakes on parking lot maneuvers - again I was told thats normal. I drive other cars and do not hear the brakes groan. I regret ever buying it. Oh I have to admit the dealer was great when I complained about the mileage; checking alignment, tire pressure and engine codes and they gave me a car to drive. Not a happy camper here.

  • SUPERIOR CAR for its class! - 2006 Ford Fusion

OH MY GOODNESS, this car is just awesome! I traded my Chevy for this and what a difference. Ive got the SEL V6 and its really got a lot of power. I love the leather seats, heated, and the body is so sleek. Ford really thought of all the details inside and out. Great viability and handling. Heck, they even paid extra attention to the details in the manual - now thats impressive.

  • The Finest Car I ever owned - 2006 Ford Fusion
    By -

I was a VW salesman in the 60s. Ive owned at least 25 cars since then. My last car was a Chrysler Cirrus. Not bad but the Fusion is just the best. More than adequate room inside. Superb power, great gas mileage and just plain fun to drive. It surely is a "looker" wherever I go. I just think Ford has done a superb job with this vehicle.

  • Worst car I have ever owned - 2006 Ford Fusion
    By -

Bought this because Ford had better financing at the time. By far the worst car I have ever owned. I drive highway to work and only get 23 MPG (compared to the 29 it was listed at). It has been in the shop several times in the first two years with transmission problems. Going back to the shop now because the driver seat broke. Turning radius is horrible. Without traction control, cant get it to move on even a dusting of snow. This was the first and last Ford I will ever own. The value of it has dropped so much I cant even afford to get rid of it since I still owe double what it is worth. I wouldnt recommend this car to anyone.

  • Love It - 2006 Ford Fusion
    By -

After 3 years and 18000 mostly city miles, the car is virtually unchanged from the day it was new. No rattles, no fading, no visible wear. The car has tight handling, has the feel and build quality of a luxury car, and has an excellent 5 speed transmission. The car has been absolutely problem free - just gas and regular oil changes. I would be another one just like it without hesitation and recommend it to others.
