great car - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Carol C - June 30 - 10:20 pmI have owned the car only 3 weeks but love it. It is comfortable, quick, and very quiet, especially in the lower gears (I have the 5-speed) but is seems to rev a little high when it gets over 60 mph which is my only complaint about this car. I owned a 2005 Escape XLT 4WD that I traded for this (which rode like a skateboard that got 18 mpg) and the mileage on the first 2 tankfuls of gas has been about 27 mpg which is much better than what I was used to. I am keeping this car forever.

A Great Ford Sedan - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Steve Blest - May 15 - 9:53 amAfter five years in an Escape it was great to find a Ford sedan that caught my interest. The Fusion is extremely smooth and quiet. Interior room is fine for my family of four. Features have high quality. It drives like a Passat.

FINALLY, IVE FOUND TRUE LOVE! - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Nick Marchese - May 7 - 10:06 pmI never thought that when I could afford to buy a brand new car, it would be a Ford! I went to my local Ford dealership about a mile from my home to get my cousins 04 Mustang the 15k mile service. A salesman walking by the service area jokingly said, "Good morning, wanna test drive something while youre waiting?" I wanted to drive the 500, but opted for the Fusion. It was love at first sight! I have extensive back/spine deterioration and have to have a seat that is comfortable and adjustable. Add leather, heated seats, one-touch sun roof, 17 inch wheels, a whole lotta pep and six speeds ... WOW! Ive had my Fusion five weeks today, and the odometer has gone from 36 miles to 1,905 miles.

Fusion is a great buy - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Hot Wheels - May 6 - 10:46 amThis is my first Ford and I am glad I purchased this car. Looks better than Accord, Camry or Sonata. Nice power, handling is responsive and fuel economy is great. Makes my commute to work every day a blast. Have gotten many compliments on this vehicle. Very roomy interior especially in the rear. Just wished they offered AWD in the 06. That would be sweet.

Drive the Ford Fusion and youll buy it! - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Virginia Volunteer - April 22 - 11:36 amHad read many reviews and heard about the Ford Fusion for months before I actually saw one or drove one. Test drove an I-4 (4-cylinder) SE with a 5 speed manual and really liked it, but wanted more options and to test a V-6 before buying. Drove a V-6 SEL in the rain ... got to try out acceleration and braking in less than ideal conditions. Wow -- knew this was the car I wanted. Waited for just the right color/options. Its an SEL with every possible option Ford puts in the Fusion and still only around $26K MSRP. People confuse it with an Acura until they see the big blue Ford oval! Very happy and I didnt have to pay $35-40K either. It turns a lot of heads and most cant believe its a FORD!

I love my new Ford Fusion - 2006 Ford Fusion
By linda - March 21 - 8:56 amI have had such good luck with this car. It handles very well and looks fabulous! I work at a hospital some of the doctors thought I was driving a new Caddy with the beautiful chrome front grill. I love the heated seats now that the weather has become cooler too. Very classy car.

drives like on a cloud - 2006 Ford Fusion
By jeans beans - March 5 - 4:03 amI have leased cars from Ford for over 9 years and this is definitely the smoothest ride to date. I have driven Concord, Taurus SE and Taurus SES in past (loved all cars) but this Fusion is nicest and smoothest ride yet.

Three hours a day commute - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Jerrie Marie - December 26 - 11:56 pmSince I spend a lot of time on the highway, the little things really affect me. First off, the 6 speed auto trans is smooth, but the Fusion gives me no feedback or control over what gear it is in. When punching the gas (6 cylinder) to pass someone there is a pause while the engine revs up and the 6 speed fumbles to find the right gear. This seems fairly unsafe to me. I would like to have a control to send the transmission into lower gears. Also, while the cruise control is on, if I increase speed with the gas pedal, the transmission fumbles around too much. I can see the results on the tachometer. Otherwise, WOW! What a lot of car for the money!

This is no toy car - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Don Casey - November 9 - 6:33 amThis is a car for driving enthusiasts who enjoy quiet comfort in a performance car. This is a car for experienced drivers. When you hit the gas you can burn rubber to your hearts delight. Acceleration is fast, very fast. Passing other cars is a breeze. Road noise is non-existent below 40 MPH or so. Over 40 MPH and you only get the tires bumping over road defects. If not for those there would be no noise. The car is simply beautiful. Fit and trim inside and out is perfect. The interior is stylish (not the same old plastic imitation burled walnut) and the doors and dash are a unique leather design. The Monsoon stereo with the 6 CD in dash in is simply awesome. To drive it is to buy.
