Fords new hit in the Mid Size Market - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Mike B - July 17 - 9:43 pmHonestly, Ive been an import driver for the last 10 years owning mostly Acura products. When it came time to replace the aging car we were looking mostly at the Mazda line (3 and 6). We rented a 6 Hatchback while home for the holidays and loved the car but it was too small in the back seat and my father in-law was too tight back there. Knowing that the Fusion was based off the same chassis, we tried that out. Great car. Loved the interior room and the layout. Decent power with more than enough in most situations. Quick kickdown on the interstate from the auto tranny. Strong brakes and a great value for the dollar. Got mine for $20K with the SE Sport package, ABS and traction control options

No regrets - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Gregg - June 14 - 7:03 amAfter 4 months of ownership, I still look forward to getting behind the wheel of the Fusion SEL V6. Ive found the car meets or exceeds the EPA mileage ratings of 21/29. The interior is tight and quiet and the V6 produces plenty of acceleration. The rear deck is rather high like a lot of the newer cars which obscures anything close and the turning radius (not tight) is something to get used to. The Fusions a good value compared to the Accord and Camry and exceeds my expectations.

Adriannes Fusion Happy - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Adrianne - April 22 - 8:20 pmI absolutely love my 2006 Ford Fusion Se I4. Its red, and its my baby. It doesnt feel like a 4-banger, but it is. I get over 400 miles on a full tank of gas. I turn heads wherever I go. The only downfall is its very hard to find high-performance parts, body kits etc. I love the car! Ford really have outdone themselves. I love the AWD too!

Smiling from ear to ear - 2006 Ford Fusion
By dderube - January 15 - 2:40 amWow. I got my SE V-6 Fusion a few months ago, black with tan leather interior. Coming from a guy in his 20s, I think the car looks phenomenal. I definitely get a lot of looks on the road. I like the style of the interior too (especially the offset-color stitching in the leather seats & carbon fiber in the dash). Plus it handles great and is a ton of fun to drive. The quality of fit and finish -- interior and exterior -- is very high. Ive got 7k miles on my Fusion so far and I couldnt be happier. Good value for the money spent.

A little disappointed - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Mary A - January 6 - 6:06 amWe traded a 2003 Ford Explorer for a 2006 Fusion to obtain better fuel efficiency, however this was a big mistake. We are only averaging about 19-20 mpg with the Fusion, but have sacrificed a significant amount of space. Our Explorer was roomy and held 7 passengers. The Fusion is small and even with buying the V6 SEL loaded, it is missing some of my favorite luxury features. Also, we purchased the fusion in May 06, then in July 06, Ford offered an extended warranty to all the 2006 models purchased after mid July. What a slap in the face to those of us who took a chance and bought Fords first year model Fusion!

An all around fun and ergonomic car - 2006 Ford Fusion
By MP - December 19 - 3:53 amI have only had my SE with the 6 cylinder auto for a little over a month. I am coming up on 3000 miles. First of all, I would like to comment about the car having an all aluminum engine. Nascar is using the same all aluminum engine, but bored and stroked to the maximum. If it can take that abuse, I know that my abuse would be nothing to its engine. I love the way that it rides, and am replacing a Mazda 6S auto with the Fusion. It handles better then the Mazda. I love its acceleration and have always owned foreign cars. I am averaging about 25-30 on the highway and 25 in city. I am now " talking " Ford.

Cool car plus safety features - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Karen Maupin - November 26 - 3:43 pmI researched, looked at and drove vehicles for two months. Safety features like side airbags, traction control and anti-lock brakes were important to me. I did not want a mom van or a gas hog SUV. Toyota and Honda car models were very pricey. The Fusion has the power and smooth ride I was looking for without the expensive car price. It is fun to drive and gets lots of looks. The controls on the steering wheel are easy to use while driving. The back seat is comfortable for two kids.

Excellence in a Car - 2006 Ford Fusion
By Jerald W. Ozbun - November 25 - 9:56 pmJust completed my first month with this car. Best car I have ever owned. Superb handling and fit. Quality is near perfection. Very quiet at all speeds. Plenty of power. Seats are very comfortable. Beautiful design. Fun to drive. Intelligent lay out of dash board. Sound system like a concert hall. I love the 1950s analog clock in the dash. After driving this car I cant understand why anyone would want to buy a Toyota or a Honda.
