This car is a pleasure to drive, comfortable, quiet ride, build quality, color exterior and interior. The economy is very good. The transmission should have a lockout for the overdrove. Trunk space is another plus.

  • Fusion, a really complete car. - 2006 Ford Fusion

I really liked this car even though it just appeared in the market. It seems really good, and even though reviews in this page say its not powerful enough against its competitors such as the Toyota Camry, for me 221 HP is more than enough power in this car. Here in Mexico its just like $1,000 dollars more expensive but everything in this car is worth it. This is not only a family car, its a sports cars and the SEL version gives me all the luxury I want in this type of car. Its of the best cars I ever bought; compared to Chrysler Concorde I had, it complies with I wanted in a these type of sedans.

I just bought my car last week and I love it. It handles great and has a lot of features. I have the SEL and it is well worth the money. The interior has a lot of room. The extra features I got are great especially the Traction Control. Handles pretty well in the snow and ice.

This car has surprised me. The ride is very comfortable, the handling is excellent and the power available is perfect. I have the V-6 and it provides smooth quiet power and is great on fuel economy. There are no squeaks or rattles and the paint is flawless. Suit yourself and go for a test ride and run the wheels off it and youll see what I mean.

  • Good for the money - 2006 Ford Fusion

I skeptically purchased my Fusion SEL in June of 2006. I have gotten a lot more than I expected from the car-the only things I would change are the stereo (no iPod jack) and add a bit more power under the hood. Other than that, great car and very comfortable seats.

  • Passed on an Accord for a Ford - 2006 Ford Fusion

I compared the Fusion to the Camry and Accord. It drove better than both and was priced less than a Hyundai. Im a first time Ford owner, and am very pleased so far. The seats are extremely comfortable, fun to drive, great features. Im getting 30 MPG according to the trip computer in mixed around town and highway driving. Ive never owned a car that attracted so many positive comments. It looks and drives like a much more expensive car. If my car budget was $10K higher than it was, Id still buy this car. Ford has a winner with the Fusion!

  • Awesome Job Ford - 2006 Ford Fusion

I bought this car looking for something stylish and sporty, but I drive 100 miles per day. I had not considered this car because I was looking to increase my average by at least 10 mpg over the 25 mpg I was averaging with my old car. When I test drove this car which was rated at 32 mpg highway I watched the computer on the dash, with the cruise set at 65 mph, climb to 36 mpg. Sold! The car is tight. It is a little underpowered with the 4 cylinder, but that is the trade off for the gas mileage. One of my other car is a 2004 Corvette, so that my have a little to do with the power issue. It is a great value for what you get on the car. This is going to be a great commuter car.

  • SEL I-4 5 Speed Rocks! - 2006 Ford Fusion
    By -

So far, after 600 miles, I am really loving this car! The 5 speed manual is so much more fun to drive than an automatic, and the 4 cylinder is both smooth and torquey at low speeds and offers decent passing power. It drives and looks like a much more expensive car. By far the best looking Ford car in the stable. I was thinking about a Focus before I bought this car, and I am happy that I went with the Fusion. I am averaging 27mpg combined city and highway driving. It is so fun to drive that I find myself looking for excuses to go to the store just to be able to shift through the gears and enjoy the driving experience that this car offers.

  • Ford has finally done it - 2006 Ford Fusion

I bought Fusion SEL V6 this month and have already put 700 miles on it. All I can say is I absolutely love the car. Great styling, comfortable ride, and nice engine transmission combination. So far I have been getting 22.3 mpg in city/highway driving which isnt too bad. I only have one complaint and thats trying to backup and looking out the rearview mirror, it can be very difficult.

  • Head Turning Caddy Killer! - 2006 Ford Fusion

I bought this car 3 days ago after owning a 1999 Ford Contour Sport since new. I went to the Chevy, Pontiac, Buick and Ford dealers with no idea what I was looking for. My criteria was: needs to be a 4-door, front wheel drive, good on gas, under $25,000. I was very disappointed to see what the Big Three have to offer in my criteria range -- until I accidentally stumbled across the Fusion. This thing is beautiful to look at, Fun to drive, and very well appointed. Ive had people ask, is it a Cadillac? I opted for the SEL with leather and just about every option (I recommend the ABS and Traction control package). The car is both luxurious and sporty at the same time. It has appeal for anyone.
