  • The empire has struck back - 2006 Ford Fusion

My overall review is very positive. The car is extremely comfortable with ample leg room for a six footer. With the front seat all the way back there is more than enough room in the back. The 5 speed automatic really helps with the gas mileage. I get over 36 mpg on the highway going up and down the rolling Ozark hills. I was going to purchase a Corolla or a Mazda3 when my wife keyed me onto this gem. The Mazda3 was overpriced and actually purchased the Fusion for less the the quote I received the Mazda3. In the south Corollas are rare with side air bags. Without bags they have poor crash ratings. The Fusion without side bags gets 4 out of 5 stars! Test drive one before making your final decision.

I test drove the Fusion, Camry, Accord, Charger, and Impala before buying the Fusion. After driving the cars, the Impala and Fusion were top on my list. I loved how the Fusion drove and the styling and decided to lease it. It has never broke down and continues to impress me. I am happy with my decision to buy it.

I love driving my Fusion. Its comfortable, dependable and very classy. I have more people stop and ask about my car than any other Ive owned.

I needed a car that gets good mileage and I got it in the Fusion. For a car about the size of the Accord and for a lot less money, its just about equal.

Wow. Having had 3 Tauruses since 98, I didnt know if this would have the true reliability, low cost of operation, and general "fun to drive" characteristics as the Taurus; it does. Looking forward to the offering of the new 3.5 VVT V6!

  • My Fusion - 2006 Ford Fusion

Upon laying my eyes on the Fusion, I had to have it. I am proud to say that it was an excellent choice to say the least. The look and performance of the vehicle are both simply awesome. The engine picks up almost as quick as my V6 2005 Mustang. The body and design of the entire vehicle make it look classy and tough (especially with black exterior). The 5 bar split chrome grill, the chrome tail light housing and fog lamp housing make it even more than beauty. The comfort of the interior is the same as an Audi A6, and has many extra frills of comfort. I added a set of 20 chrome rims and tinted the windows in back. It totally set this car off even more.

  • Nice Car - 2006 Ford Fusion

Overall this is a nicely done car. Styling is much more distinctive than the Japanese, but the mechanicals are still not as refined. The engine could use a bit more torque, but horsepower is good once you get the revs up. Interior is very attractive with the piano black trim - although Im concerned about scratches. Overall I would recommend it, especially since its several $1000 less than a similarly optioned Accord.

  • WOW!!! - 2006 Ford Fusion

Bought mine last weekend and already have 400 miles on it. Just love the way this car handles. Interior is luxurious, and has great quality materials. Thought about Camry, Accord, and Altima. This car is 10 times more fun to drive, and has a distinct look unlike any of those. First domestic car Ive had in 8 years and WOW! Ford has dramatically increased quality, fit and finish, and performance.

Just got a 2006 V6 SEL with black leather interior and safety package and upgraded stereo. Overall a successful design. Handling is very good and it has a quiet and comfortable ride without being too isolated. Despite having plenty of power at the front wheels it still has a good steering feel and no noticeable torque steer. Ford succeeded in finding a good balance between handling and comfort. The optional perforated leather seats are very comfortable and look great to boot. However little design details display Fords lowest bidder supplier mentality: cheap plastic analog clock, no cabin air filter! (allows outside dust on black dash and vents), cheap looking instrument panel.

I have had my I4 automatic Fusion for a month and have 1500 miles on it; never been so happy with a car. Averaging 27.5 mpg with city driving! The car has great steering response, more like a sports car than a sedan. Sound system is top notch and the fit and finish is superb. I have owned 15 new cars in my lifetime and this car is at the top.
