Overview & Reviews
A limited-edition Harley-Davidson package debuts this year, featuring monochromatic paint, 22-inch alloys, unique trim and special leather seating. New 20-inch alloy wheels are available on FX4, Lariat and King Ranch models. Satellite radio is newly available, and traction control can be added to 2WD V8 models. Later in the model year, the crew cab can be equipped with a 6.5-foot cargo bed.
- Exceptional ride and handling characteristics, attractive and functional interior designs, multiple cab and bed configurations.
- Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

Bad Transmission 2006 F150 - 2006 Ford F-150
By at - August 21 - 9:06 pmAt only 18 thousand miles and 3 months out of warranty, the transmission goes out on my 2006 F150 with a 6 cylinder-- Ford did not help with the $3000 transmission replacement either. The bad part is that it is slipping again-- I bought this new thinking it would last, I guess I should have kept my reliable 1988 GMC.

2006 F-150 Review - 2006 Ford F-150
By Brian - September 30 - 9:20 pmMy experience with my F-150 was the worst experiance I have ever had with a vehicle. The build quality was extremely poor. Within the first 6 months all fuel injectors had to be replaced. The stitching on the front seats came apart not once but twice! The headliner came apart. The outside mirror fell off as I was driving. My exp. with the dealership regarding these issues was also poor. It will be the last Ford vehicle I ever have!

Dont buy this truck! - 2006 Ford F-150
By steve - November 22 - 5:30 pmI bought this truck new last year. I travel alot for my job, so I need something comfortable and reliable. When I was in Mississippi, I was driving about 30 mph on a back road when it sounded like I hit a roadside bomb. My truck stopped. I got out only to find a huge puddle of coolant, pieces of metal and what I later discovered was transmission fluid. they towed the truck to a Ford dealership in Memphis Tennessee, and found out that my transmission blew up. The force cracked the engine block, broke the suspension, broke the radiator, and cracked the trucks frame! So I was stuck 7 hrs away from home with a totaled truck, trying to find a new car, and I missed my daughters birthday!

Glad to be rid of this one - 2006 Ford F-150
By justaguy - June 26 - 3:46 pmMy F150 spends way to much time in the shop. In one year, less than 17,000 miles, the following items have failed: Steering rack, ABS sensors(2), 4wd locking hub relay, AC/Heat fan. Each failure required two trips to the shop, one to diagnose the problem and order the parts, a second for the actual repair. In addition, I had check engine light problems twice.

Ford needs new management - 2006 Ford F-150
By ac389 - March 22 - 2:53 amPoor economy, real bad brakes, very poor ride characteristics, engine is underpowered compared to other trucks, manual transmission shifts poorly, seats are starting to tear at 2500 miles. This truck is very obsolete compared to the competition. This truck weighs 4760 lbs, has 202 hp, gets 13 to 16 mph. Dont waste your money on this truck. For a business buying this vehicle, would be subject to insurance issues from workmans comp due to loading height. Ford is lost when building quality, efficient autos.
