Model Overview:

The Ford F-150 is the star of the long-running F-Series line, which stretches back to the post-World War II era, and millions of F-150s have been sold in that time. Originally conceived as a rugged, no-frills workhorse, the Ford F-150 has since morphed into a well-appointed, versatile rig with numerous trim levels that serve a wide range of shoppers, including weekend warriors who need room for the family and the occasional trip to the hardware store.

The full-size pickup segment is so competitive these days that it's hard to pick a clear favorite. But new or used, the F-150 is a great choice, with recent models offering cutting-edge features like turbocharged engines and the MyFord Touch electronics interface. Thanks to the Ford F-150's countless configurations and incredible popularity, you're almost guaranteed to find one that meets your needs.

  • First amd last Ford! - 2004 Ford F-150

Truck was ok till it hit about 100,000 four wheel drive went out, engine blew and rear end shuttered during turns. Every mechanic I talked to said this is not uncommon for the 5.4 after 100,000 the oil pumps quit and the engine self destructs, Ford knows they got a problem and wont fix it sounds like Toyota to me.

  • 4.2 engine a bust - 1997 Ford F-150

I purchased this vehicle not even a yr ago, had been driving Fords for over 20 yrs with my job. But will never again purchase a Ford product until they make a engine that is reliable again. What a disappointment. Ford, you can do better or else stand by your product. 4.2 liter engine a bust.

  • terrible - 2000 Ford F-150

we got ours a 2000 and so far we had to replace the 4wd, heating, fan, tailgate handle and spark plugs. the radio cuts out, and the transmission is on its way. we have replaced the plugs 2 times and now 3 are out again

  • bad transmission and rear - 2003 Ford F-150

The transmission slips and the rear bangs on hills. The dealer cannot duplicate the noise and no one is around to come for a ride with me. This is a big disappointment for the best selling truck. I should have bought a Toyota.

  • Unreliable after year 5 - 1997 Ford F-150

My family purchased this truck new for my brother. My brother didnt like it so my dad drove it and when I got my license I inherited this pile of junk (it was 10 years old). When i first started driving it it was ok but lately its been making sudden jerks and noises. After i drive it for a little bit the motor keeps on making noise. The temperature gauge has caused it to die. I have to hit the tailgate to open it. My family has only had Chevys before this and we are all going back to Chevys. Built Ford Tough is a big understatement. I cant wait to get something nicer.

  • Its ok, BUT NOT FOR TEXAS - 2004 Ford F-150
    By -

Overall I like my truck ok. The MSRP was $41,000 It cost about $2,000 more than most of the others and about 4 to 5,000 more than a comparable Dodge or Chevy. It is way over priced!

  • Difference between Silverado and Ford F150 - 2017 Ford F-150
    By -

Let me first say that Im not a truck guy. I rented a car in Orlando and was given a Silverado for 2 weeks. I throughly enjoyed the truck. The instrumentation was simple to figure out and the rearview camera was huge. The ride was very comfortable and the front seats were very roomy although the backseat space was too tight. Parking is difficult due to the size. A week later I was given a Ford F150 for a week. WOW what a difference! The Ford was cheap feeling and looking inside. It took a masters degree to figure out the instrumentation. The back up camera was minuscule and useless. The truck was easier to maneuver then the Silverado and the backseat room was huge. Even with these pluses it the Silverado features and ride far out weight the Ford F150.

  • Bad Investment - 2008 Ford F-150
    By -

I acquired a F-150 for a heavy work load. Big mistake. This vehicle would be good for occasional work and commuting, but has limited capabilities. It is underpowered, loud, poor gas mileage, and unreliable. I spent a small fortune keeping this truck running. I replaced this truck as quickly as financially possible.

  • WORST F-150 - 2005 Ford F-150
    By -

I purchased this vehicle new 6 months ago and it has been in the shop 6 times so far. The dealer says they cannot fix the vibration in the rear end after 4 attempts. There have been several different problems. Some parts were not even installed (a/c hose - water was going in floorboard). I can not even get a loaner vehicle while it is being repaired but 2 times. It has currently been at the dealership about 36 days and counting. Im waiting on a buy-back or replacement. I also have a claim with the BBB AutoLine.

  • 2006 F-150 Review - 2006 Ford F-150
    By -

My experience with my F-150 was the worst experiance I have ever had with a vehicle. The build quality was extremely poor. Within the first 6 months all fuel injectors had to be replaced. The stitching on the front seats came apart not once but twice! The headliner came apart. The outside mirror fell off as I was driving. My exp. with the dealership regarding these issues was also poor. It will be the last Ford vehicle I ever have!
