Overview & Reviews
The Expedition receives power-adjustable foot pedals, a rear sonar system for when the vehicle is backing up, optional side airbags, a revised center console and restyled wheels.
- Excellent interior and comfort, wide-ranging versatility, new safety features.
- Still might be too big for some garages, lack of power, on-road comfort hurts off-road capabilities.

I love it! - 2000 Ford Expedition
By lisann - March 5 - 2:00 amHave had the rear wiper motor replaced and 1 window motor. The radio 3 times still static, but I listen to cds mostly. Have 55,000 miles on it now and looking to buy a 2003 next year (used). Resale value yukky but I think because everyone has one. Had no problems with power (5.4). Dealer service departments (2) have falled way BELOW my expectations so now that its out of warranty Ill be looking for private repair facility if I need. Have received many good comments from people who have riden. If you are having problems with this vehicle it must be a lemon which happens to all makes and models. I LOVE IT!!!

Love my truck - 2000 Ford Expedition
By schraderx4 - January 22 - 2:00 amAfter the birth of our son and our first car trip, my husband decided that my Honda Passport was not big enough. We went to the dealership with the intention of just looking, and left with my truck! I love it! The only problem I have is that the sunshade for the moonroof works its way closed on its own and they dont know how to fix it. Im just waiting until I can trade it in for a new one where the 3rd seat folds flat!

Going Big - 2000 Ford Expedition
By Honda Convert - March 23 - 2:00 amIt was a choice between a minivan or an Expedition (duh!). We liked the comfortable interior. Going from a Honda CR-V to this was a big leap (we still have the CR-V for the work commute). We didnt realize how many more features this truck had (power seats, power adjustable pedals..). And the miles per gallon isnt that worse (Im lucky to get 20 mpg on the Honda). Ours came with a huge front seat console, illuminated running boards and 6-disc CD changer, all of which brought it close to an Eddie Bauer trim. And going from a four cylinder to a V-8, Im able to drive like I want to.

All-around Cowboy - 2000 Ford Expedition
By CobraJockey - July 22 - 2:00 amWeve had a range of trucks over the years. GMC, Chev, Mazda, Toyota. The GMC had been my favorite until I got one of these as a company car. It served great for both business and personal use. I hunt, and have jr-hi aged kids, so function and room are important. It meets em. My wife prefers it over her sedans, including a Saab and a number of Hondas. But Id still rather drive my Shelby...

I LOVE IT! - 2000 Ford Expedition
By Love It - December 9 - 10:00 amThis is a replacement for an identical 2000 EB 4x2. 1st one had an intermittent exhaust odor that the dealer could not fix. Went the Lemon Law route for this vehicle. Only problems on this one were 1-Sunroof roared at 55+ MPH .Dealer fixed this by stretching the nylon straps that limit the deflector shield. Shield was not in airflow and would vibrate. 2-Intermittently car would not crank. Faulty Neutral/Park switch in the steering column Tires just replaced at 24k with Michelin X-Terrain. They are worth the money. 5.4L engine gas mileage is ~ 14MPG average 50/50 highway and city. Highway gets 20MPG/60 MPH and 16MPG/80 MPH. Lots of parasitic drag.

Not for little car owners - 2000 Ford Expedition
By 7th ford - August 8 - 2:00 amMy wife had an explorer for 3 years and we wanted to upgrade to the Explorer. Wow, what a great driving SUV. We looked and Chev before we picked the Ford and the drive and comfort is not comparison. This is not for someone who is used to driving around a little Toyo, Mazda or a toy. This is a "Im pulling my 24cabin crusier (boat) and 4 friends and never know it.

Reliable - 2000 Ford Expedition
By reedo - July 27 - 3:33 pmWe purchased the EB EXPY to access our mountain cabin via steep gravel roads, and tow our 5,000 lb boat. Both missions have been accomplished flawlessly. I have confidence in the Expedition to get us through just about any offroad situation. Absolutely no trouble with the vehicle thus far.

One Great SUV - 2000 Ford Expedition
By Cliff1111 - May 26 - 8:10 pmI drive from Nebraska to Las Vegas twice a year and I cant ask for a better driving and more comfortabe ride than my Expedition. If it wasnt for the poor gas milage I would give it a 10 all the way.
