i purchased my 2011 edge limited in march. 3 months late it has been in the shops 5 times. 1st-time it was leaking gas when i would fil up. i was told by the dealership that i did not know how to put gas in my vehicle. 2nd- i was stranded at a gas station because the dash said "no key detected" 3rd-once again stranded because "no key detected" 4th-sun roof would not open 5th-radio would not work. dash said audio off. screen was showing that at the radio was on. if my car didnt have all these issues i would absolutely love it.

  • This car is amazing, and Im a car snob - 2011 Ford Edge

Im a car snob. When my wife got the Edge, I was driving a Mercedes E63 AMG (500 HP, top of the line Benz). My wife gets company cars, and they need to be Fords, so she picked a loaded Edge Sport. This car blows me away. It is quite, quick, handles like a sports car, and has more features than I ever imagined. We pulled a small trailer with motorcycles for 800 miles and it was flawless. I cant speak for long-term reliability since its only at 5K miles, but as far overall quality and fun factor, I think youd be crazy to buy that little Lexus or other generic SUV. No, I dont work for Ford, Im truly amazed by this ride. Rear DVD, synch, great sound, cool looking....amazing ride.

  • Lovin the Edge!! - 2011 Ford Edge

WAS a big GM Fan - after having several broken hearts over my beloved Bravada (left me stranded in Texas w/80k miles), mid life crisis Camaro (97k miles) and finally my cute little Chevy Colorado (for garden work). I joined my husband on the Ford bandwagon. We traded in my 07 Colorado (snifff) for this VERY NICE 2011 Ford Edge!!! The second I drove the Edge off the lot I fell in Love!!! XOXOXOX The Edge handles beautifully - with the rubber mat in the back I have plenty of room for trips to the Farmers market and garden store, and its great on long trips. Hubby even likes riding in the passenger side - he can kick back with plenty of room to spare!

  • 2001 Edge SEL - 2011 Ford Edge
    By -

I traded a 2008 4Runner SR5 for a 2011 Edge SEL. I wanted a bit more refinement and better gas mileage and I got exactly that. Fit and finish is just great. Easy to get in and out of, gas mileage is as rated. I love the MyTouch technology and dont find it that hard to use. Makes my 4Runner seem very antiquated. The Edges ride is so smooth with excellent noise dampening. I would recommend an Edge to anyone who doesnt need the true SUV qualities of a truck based vehicle.

  • Great Car - 2011 Ford Edge
    By -

Went from 2007 to 2009 mariner to save gas - no power - chose Edge after looking at Subaru, VW, BMW, Mazda CX7 - good deal on a great car. We really like it. Wanted Sync *worked great on Mercury* did not want MyTouch. So we got an SE and got neither lol.

  • Love the Edge, Hate SYNC/My Touch - 2011 Ford Edge
    By -

I have owned a 2011 Edge for 5 months now, and for the most part it is a very good vehicle. Comfortable, well built mechanically, and gets the advertised EPA gas mileage if you take it easy. But as many other reviews have said, the SYNC/My Touch systems and everything connected to it such as Blue tooth, Navigation, etc were apparently released to market with no product testing. My wife and I have nicknamed the voice recognition system the "Voice Nonrecognition System". The navigation system seems to know only places that we would never want to go. I should have not dismissed it as a fluke when the navigation system had no idea where the Ford dealership was when we took it for a test drive.

  • Like Fords of old - 2011 Ford Edge

Years ago we owned a Ford Crown Victoria. Great road car. Solid feel about it. Our new Edge has those same qualities but with all the modern conveniences. Love the My Touch system, the blind spot side mirrors, and the great seats. Even my wife, who does not like leather, loves the heated front seats. So glad we went for the Limited with the memory features. My wife is 11 inches shorter than me but the memory makes finding our driving positions easy. We have owned many new cars and this one is one of the best, if not the best, ever.

  • Living on the Edge - 2011 Ford Edge

I really like this car, lots of room in the back and front. Kids boosters fit fine. Drives like a dream. Take the time to learn how to use sync, its worth it.

  • Great SUV! - 2011 Ford Edge
    By -

I had my Ford Edge for about a month now and I love driving it everywhere. I live on a dairy farm and needed a more realistic vehicle than our trucks we have. The Edge was the suv that stood out most to us. The exterior is fabulous how all the lines of the car just flow. The inside and the technology is unbeatable. We were looking at other suvs and none at anyother company could beat this technology. The engine was the number one important concern for us. We wanted a strong and powerful engine that could handle the wear and tear a farm has on cars. The edge does great with our stone lane, back roads and sometimes field drives. The only thing we would change is possibly putting a third row!

  • 2011 Ford Edge Limited - Loaded - 2011 Ford Edge

I am really enjoying my new Ford Edge. It is a very comfortable car (I have back issues as times), and it is also roomy enough for my tall family. The car has great safety features and performs well on the road. I love the new MyFord Touch and Synch. I received very good training on the system from my salesman when I picked up the car. I highly recommend taking the time to understand the features it really is a great system and worth taking the time to learn it! Some people said they had glitches or found it confusing. So far, I have not found that to be an issue. The car handles very well, but the suspension is a little firm.
