  • Solid little car - 1990 Eagle Summit

Mine is getting up there in the milage department, but it still just rolls right along. Ive driven it pretty hard over the years and it has very seldom let me down. If you need a reliable set of wheels at a good price, a Summit would be an excellent choice.

  • Great AWD vehicle! - 1995 Eagle Summit

Very reliable. I bought my wagon with 84000 miles, I now have 115000 miles and I have only done basic maintenance and changed the water pump. It starts every time. Snow is no problem for this vehicle - the AWD is great. Gas mileage suffers a little from being AWD but its worth the trade off in a snowy environment.

I bought this car in June. By August, it was leaking oil. Then it started to leak antifreeze. The power steering and ac belt continually broke and no one could figure out why any of this was happening. It went kaputt in November.

  • Decent little car - 1995 Eagle Summit

I didnt have high expectations when I bought this car and Ive now owned it for five years and it has 92,000 miles and runs great. I drove a Honda Civic before this car and was suprised to find the Summit quite peppy. The only major problem the car has is with certain components rusting. The rotors rust very easily for some reason and Ive had to replace them a couple of times. The radiator also had to be replaced. Other than that, I havent done anything to it that is not routine maintenance. Mine is a standard and it drives and handles great.

  • Been a great car to me - 1991 Eagle Summit
    By -

I bought this vehicle new in 1991 and it has been a reliable workhorse ever since. Ill probably keep it until it takes its last breath. Ive taken excellent care of it. (The interior looks just about as good as the day I brought it home) Its only been in the shop a few times in 12 years for things other than routine maintenance. Sure, it doesnt have a lot of extras but its been a dependable car that gets me where I need to go and hasnt drained my bank account in repairs.

  • I loved this car - 1993 Eagle Summit
    By -

I bought the car in 1995 off the lot. It had 75000 miles on it when I bought it. I loved this car. never left on the side of the road, and it was never in the shop besides oil changes. The only major thing that I had to replace is the clutch, which doesnt suprise me, when I bought the car, I didnt know how to drive clutch, and I learned in that car, and taught about 3 different people how to drive clutch as well. I swear I would still have the car to this day if I wouldnt have totaled it in an accident. (which that happened three days after I put in the new clutch) ha, ha.

  • A Great Little Car - 1993 Eagle Summit

My car may not be the fastest or the flashiest, but for being 10 years old this thing looks like it could be a 1996. It runs perfectly, the body has kept up excellently, the interior is mint, and it really says something about the car when after 10 years and 120K miles, the thing runs perfectly.

  • This Eagle still fies high!! - 1992 Eagle Summit

Out of many economic vehicles I have owned, the Eagle is by far the best! Repairs may cost a bit more for the Eagle, however, you pay for what you get. All mitsubishi motors if maintained, are die hards. Chryslers sleek look and wide wheel base (For a small sized car) make this car a dream to drive. Our 1992 Eagle Summit 4 door sedan, with A/C, has 249454km on the odometer. Still purrr-ing like a kitten, we travel on for next-to-little expense.

Bought this car around 1999 with 30,000 miles on her. Somethings wrong with it like idle air control motor, and the seatbelt motor went out-raw deal-manufacturer called a recall on switch, they fixed it, but since the switch stuck it burnt out my motor which isnt recalled. Seat belt motor quoted $1000 to fix!!
