Overview & Reviews
America's best-selling minivan is all new for 2001, with many industry-first features including a power rear tailgate, a power sliding door obstacle detection system, and a removable and powered center console, and a pop-up rear cargo organizer, all residing under sleek new sheetmetal.
- Lots of new options, torquey engines, car-like driving characteristics, improved safety features.
- Still no stowable third seat, gets pricey when options are added, legroom in second-row seats.

Well... - 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan
By qtkime - May 29 - 4:56 amI loved my van when I bought it. i rode well and was fun, not horrible gas mileage, either. Then in 2003 it was struck by lightning and completely killed the computer. Never have gotten all the bugs out. After that, nothing has been the same. The air conditioner died. Theres this horrible noise in the front end and nobody can tell me whats wrong. Its falling apart everywhere. It coud be that my kids are just wild children and need to be in the zoo, but that has nothing to do with how bad its running. Even the gas mileage has gone to the toilet, 19 mpg on the highway. Nobody can tell me whats wrong there either.

Good car for the money - 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan
By razalas - March 18 - 5:30 pmOverall this has been a nice ride. We bought it to drive from Newport Beach, CA to Key West, FL and back again. We also stopped quite a bit in between it was our honeymoon. Our honeymoon wouldnt have survived if we had any other vehicle for this trip. Big enough to take naps and sleep comfortable on a queen size air mattress in the back, and all the other things associated with traveling great distances.
