This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, all Durangos get standard side airbags; larger, heated side mirrors and new body-mounted front and rear fascias designed to eliminate the gaps seen in previous models. The SUV's front end gets an upgrade with a new grille, front fenders, hood and headlamps. New body-side moldings are standard on SXT, SLT and Limited models. Limited models get a standard leather-wrapped console lid, and rear park assist is standard on the Limited trim and optional on SLT models. Tire-pressure monitoring is standard on SLT and Limited models, and new quad bucket seats are available on both of these trims. Vehicles equipped with rear air-conditioning get a standard 115-volt power outlet as well.

Pros:
  • Powerful V8 engines, smooth ride quality, off-road competence, ample cargo capacity, intuitive controls.
Cons:
  • Disappointing mileage, poor fit and finish, cramped second-row legroom and storage.

  • LOVE our 2007 Durango!! - 2007 Dodge Durango

Purchased 4 years ago from a friend who had updated with high performance additions, fun to drive. Previous vehicle was Suburban, mpg and higher mtnce/tire costs expected on full size SUV. No mechanical issues Dodge replaced gas cap due to recall. Towing power was more than adequate when pulling fullsize Uhaul trailer. Have to trade - either a bent valve stem or rod issue at 114,000 miles - even tho we used high octane (91) gas the last two years and synthetic oil - as far as we know. To be safe, use 93 octane and only synthetic oil. Never use ethanol even with flex fuel engine. Would buy it again! Tend to drive vehicles into ground - over 200k will miss doing so with this vehicle.

I have had my Durango for 4 years and it has not given me any problems. I find that the space is great for transporting my big family, and has not complaints.

  • Best SUV ever owned. - 2007 Dodge Durango

3 years ago I went to the dealer and I was looking for a Black Dodge Durango SLT, Hemi of course, until the salesman told me that they only had a Durango Night Runner on transit to the dealer and I obviously said YES!. Owning this truck for 3 years has been a great experience with a perfect and powerful engine with great performance, great interior, and nice black chrome wheels. Its got about 37,000 miles and Ive never ever had any problems. All I can say is that ITS THE PERFECT CHOICE.

Ive owned my Dodge Durango Night Runner for three years already, it has 37,000 miles and Im still impressed. The best part about this truck is the HEMI engine, great power, great performance and of course great fuel mileage for a V8. Ive never experienced any mechanical problems or any kind of problems, the only times it visits the dealer is for service and thats it. Its very comfortable for those long trips and its built tough.

  • Old to New - No Regrets - 2007 Dodge Durango

I traded in my old 2000 Durango that made it to 300,000 miles with minor problems, for a used 2007 Durango SLT 4WD with the 5.7L Hemi. I have owned it for six months and it has impressed me very much. Aside from the hereditary gas mileage trait, this car has been a great family commuter. It has a lot of space inside with great storage capacity and a surprisingly spacious third row. Though the second row seems to be a bit compromised in terms of legroom, there has been no other flaws in the car. It has a great towing capacity which has helped with our boats and some offroading problems with my friends and has done it without struggle.

  • Everything a V8 SUV should be... - 2007 Dodge Durango

Let me start off with the obvious: Fuel Economy. I gave it a 9. Not because it is superb in fuel consumption compared to the average car on the road, but because it handedly beats everything in its class. The MDS which turns off 4 of the 8 cyclingder while cruising along really does save alot of $$. The 5.7L V8 is powerful 345 hp and efficient 24 MPG highway 14 City and 18 mixed driving. Thats darn good for this sort of vehicle in my opinion. It seats 7 comfortably and the long wheelbase is very comfortable at highway and around town speeds. Service costs are avg.

We have had this Durango for a few months and absolutely love it. We needed to tow about 6500lbs to it was a great choice.

  • Great Truck - 2007 Dodge Durango

I ordered my Durango from the dealer. I got the Adventurer with the 5.7 and the tow package and 3.73 rear. I get 17.5 on the highway. I love the power, drop the hammer, and itll smoke any truck. The split third row is great, and heated leather seats are a must. My only complaint is the rack and pinoin steering, with the AWD, when it hits a bump, the wheel tends to jerk to the right. The windshield is also too far forward, making the passenger side A-pillar a major blind spot when driving around a sharp left turn. I also ordered the 4WD transfer case. Havent had much snow in south Jersey yet, but it handles great in mud and the snow weve had.

  • Would buy again - 2007 Dodge Durango

We have had the other body style durango, & several Dodge trucks & enjoy this one. We bought the Durango about a month ago and I have put 3000 miles on it already and have not made my first payment. Fun to drive, good road view, nice sounding V8. We come from mustangs, trucks and a Dodge Mini Van. The Durango has as much room as a van but needs more oomph out of the hole and it got that in 08. We saved a ton of cash on this buying it with 20k miles on it. Also has synthetics in rear & front diffs. from factory. I will run full synthetic in the motor soon as well. I drive a lot and wanted something safe for my family and myself. Our kids love it over our mini van since they can see out better.

  • Classy workhorse - 2007 Dodge Durango

I love my Durango... It has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. Its stylish and classy, but still pulls a horse trailer as well as a pickup. I haul golf clubs and horse food in the back... And it does have plenty of room back there! I had the smaller Durango which I also loved. But this one is much more versatile! I do wish the gas mileage was better. But Im not willing to give up the power and comfort to go to something smaller!
