I love this car - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By Daniel - January 8 - 7:26 pmBest, most comfortable car Ive ever owned. Minor irritations: headlight seals, bass speakers, overheats if stands too long, one window motor, occasional short in interior lights brightness dial (and so headlights blink), A/C leaks, trunk supports died, bolts and knobs appear on the carpet. But solid on the road, peppy, smooth ride, looks great after 10 years, leather still in great condition. 14.5 mpg town, up to 33 mpg highway (flat road, no passengers). Had to have the rims specially treated so the seals wouldnt leak. I have 127,000 miles on it and its still a great car. I just wish it had held its value as well as it has held its style.

But it looks so good....:( - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By perfectbalance - December 1 - 8:26 pmWhen it was new man...it was a dream comfortable fast and over 30 mpg..first to go trans sensor, then fuel pump..driver window(glued bracket) I am currently replacing it for the 5th time, passenger side 4 times..both fans for engine..transmission died a few months ago..crank sensor, switch for seat heaters,, front speakers,,bug shield for wipers blew off...trunk supports..have 2x4 great replacement...Too bad Chrysler gets you hooked by beautiful designs and then engineers their cars to bring in maximum revenue for repairs and replacement parts....This was my 4th Chrysler and it will be my last...

Love the Chrysler LHS - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By mheather28 - March 26 - 5:03 pmThe LHS is a gorgeous car even today (10 years later)Comfortable, sleek, nice ride. Some problems weve experienced as follows, Front window brackets bent and broke. AC condenser replaced but still leaking. Rack replaced twice. Alloy wheels erode and tires go flat have to have them sanded down and sealed. center caps rust and break off .Trunk supports needed replaced and most recently the windshield washer fluid wont squirt out. Thought it was an easy fix (pump) but not so easy after all they tell us the problem is one of the three computers for the car has a component that isnt working, But all and all has been relatively good car. And still looks and drives beautifully.

Last Chrysler that I expect to own - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By Chas - December 30 - 5:13 pmIve never owned a car that required more repairs than this LHS. Love the looks and comfort, but build quality is well below competitors. Here is a list of repairs since ownership: struts, window motors (twice), seat heater switch, air conditioner (twice), wheel bearings, trunk weatherstripping, front speakers, windshield wiper motor, EGR valve, cycling sound of dash motor...most were replaced under warranty. Next vehicle will be reviewed more closely for reliability...I can thank Chrysler for that!

Comfy plus mileage - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By Lynn Wilt - April 17 - 9:34 amCar has had great reliability, except for electrical trouble w/ drivers side espress-down window feature. Mileage is still 27-28 on highway, low 20s in town. Trunk is huge. Fit & finish not good big gaps inside around doors, and door gaskets have needed re-glued. Pretty manueverable for a big car. Big blind spots to rear make backing out of parking a challenge.

Big White Boat - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By bjrogo - February 25 - 6:24 pmThis car was inherited w/47K on odometer from my mother. She drove about 11K yearly in MI . Garaged and Maintained. It was a bit too much for our family re: size but comfort and no debt overruled an immediate sale. LHS mainly used as long-distance commuter. Major costs were A/C condenser replacement, a few trim items that were costly, and 2 window motors going out. Again, comfort, decent mpg ~26 Hwy, and style won over. During the two years we have own it has been driven ~60K, Upon reflection, the car would have recd a higher rating if expenses mentioned above has already occurred. Not my mothers fault!

1999 LHS @ 170 kilometers - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By Laura - April 2 - 12:29 amExcellence in driving, performance, comfort, styling and looks. However, it is a toss up as to what is flawed in an individual vehicle. Chrysler put out an expensive car, then walked away from any kind of responsibility to its obvious defects. Problem is, once you driven one you cant go back.
