This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, Chevrolet has dropped the high-line LTZ trim level. Power-adjustable pedals, a DVD-based navigation system, automatically locking doors and XM Satellite Radio are new features this year. The instrument panel now sports a freshened monochromatic look. The North Face Edition package gets unique 17-inch wheels, while all models get new 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design, low-grade interior materials.

2 Months after purchase already hearing wind noise around windows. Totaled out 9 months after purchase in major accident and no airbag deploy (front or side) which was a key buying point. Investigation by GM said airbags shouldnt have deployed, I beg to differ, motor sitting on frame after accident. I guess only a head on collision would deploy airbags.

This is a sound, heavy duty, captivating machine. I get looks everywhere I go in my Trailblazer. Interior comfort is great and the thing handles like a go cart. love my chevy truck.

The Trailblazer is a far superior vehicle to the Honda Pilot, which we also considered. The performance is much better at a sacrifice of some fuel economy, but we still get nearly 22 mpg on the highway. Once we got the quirks worked out of options like the automatically adjusting mirrors and memory seat, we have had no problems with the Trailblazer. The Bose sound system should be heard to be really appreciated. We use this vehicle for long road trips and we tow it behind our motorhome.

Smooth ride---DECENT gas mileage when comparing with other mid-zized 6cy SUVs. Dated interior, however-BUT comfortable. FAST-can certainly get out of its own way. Nice styling-I believe its identical to the ENVOY. Go for it.

This is a great truck. I use it all the time to pull a 19 ft bass boat and it does well. The engine is perfect smooth and quick, though alittle grumbly up hill when loaded down. This is my first american vehicle in quite awhile. If it makes it past 150,000 miles I will be buying another one.

No HEADROOM! If you are over 6-0, dont buy it. I wanted a Honda Pilot. Good Luck! I had to have a navigation system due to my job. The satellite radio system is worth the money as well as the navigation system. However, if I had taken it for a lengthy test drive, I would have realized that the lack of headroom was a design flaw, not just the way I was sitting in the seat at the time. (And Im only 6-0 foot tall.) In addition, it is not as "quiet" as the Suburban which is the other vehicle that I own.
