Overview & Reviews
This fully redesigned Trailblazer now sports a longer, wider and noticeably stiffer chassis, along with an all-new 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine and a more refined suspension that is light years ahead of its predecessor, the Blazer. Unique sheet metal now differentiates the Trailblazer from its GM cousins, the GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada, while a restyled interior makes better use of the additional passenger room inside.
- Class-leading engine power, forgiving ride, room for seven in the EXT version.

Great Improvement! - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Ben Shuster - October 24 - 10:00 amWhat an improvement! After driving a 1997 LT and a 1999 LT, the 2002 is 1000% better! Very powerful and very smooth, it represents what GM can do when it wants to do something right! Such a great SUV, I cancelled my Nissan order just to have one!

MY TRUCK IS RUSTING - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By DEPRESSED - September 19 - 10:00 amThis truck was purchased at the very end of 2001 so has now been through two Michigan winters. After only 18mos of ownership, RUST has developed along all of the doors lower, inner edge seams and along the inner underside of the hood. Rust is the equivalent of cancer in a car, almost impossible to stop once it has gotten a start. In this day & age, there is no excuse for this lapse in quality. My opinion has gone from one of joy to despair as this truck is not going to last as long as I had hoped...just more money wasted. Too bad, as this truck has been mechanically trouble free.

Not sure - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By seanzo - August 6 - 10:00 amI just got one used, the 2002 LS, so its a year old. Only problem so far is that on a cold morning, if I dont let it warm up enough, the tranny sounds like its racing even at 2500 rpms, and theres no power to the car, it just crawls. If I stop and give it a minute, the problem stops. Could be an exhaust problem, a misfiring piston, transmission, or I dunno what else. Its only happened 3 times, all on a cold morning. But its not even winter yet.

I like it. - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By blupupher - July 24 - 10:00 amVery impressed overall with entire vehicle. It comes with some features that are new to me as a former Dodge truck only owner, ie automatic headlights, speed compensated volume on radio( although not needed, it is very quiet at hwy speed), strong I-6,and smooth acceleration and ride.

We loe it - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By rhpetersen - July 8 - 11:26 amAfter owning a 97 Blazer LT for 84000 miles, the logical step was to a TrailBlazer LT for our next vehicle. With virtually no change in sticker price in the 5 years between the vehicle purchases, the value of the TrailBlazer is obvious. Bigger vehicle, more power, great build quality, etc. . .
