Overview & Reviews
This fully redesigned Trailblazer now sports a longer, wider and noticeably stiffer chassis, along with an all-new 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine and a more refined suspension that is light years ahead of its predecessor, the Blazer. Unique sheet metal now differentiates the Trailblazer from its GM cousins, the GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada, while a restyled interior makes better use of the additional passenger room inside.
- Class-leading engine power, forgiving ride, room for seven in the EXT version.

Too many little problems in the 1st yr - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By oy - June 25 - 2:00 amI had a lot of little problems. The power mirrors dont go back to original setting, the right front speaker squeeks, the passenger heated seat went out several times, etc. I like the car but the 1st year models has a lot of bugs to work out.

My 1st SUV - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Scott I. - June 24 - 2:00 amGreat Power. Great Handeling. Had problems with air conditioning....repair people cant figure out what is wrong with it. Engine runs terribly when hovering around 55mph. After sale service sucks. Definately buying a toyota 4- runner next time.

Trailblazer has Blind Spots - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By karenfromde - June 16 - 2:00 amI love driving my Trailblazer. It is very comfortable. However, it has a definite blind spot at the rear. If you turn off the radio, the noise level from the outside is noticeable. I have had to replace rear brake/taillights repeatedly and now the a/c fan isnt working unless I put it on #4. Little things, but annoying nonetheless. Gas guzzler at times. Thinking about selling it at this point.

Disappointed - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By lupeknight1 - June 10 - 2:00 amDont let the looks of this car persuade you into buying it. This car devours gas and is far from being reliable. Atleast mine has continously given me transmission problems. Its interior is very roomy, but there are plenty of other SUVs with the same attribute and better quality.

Moneyblazer - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By OGER1 - June 4 - 2:00 amI have had numerous warranty issues. I am on my third radio because the buttons are painted on with black paint. Very cheap looking interior. Would not recommend buying. Too much money for poor quality.

Disappointed - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Walkin Stick - May 31 - 2:00 amI liked the appearance, features, and ride (for an SUV) of this vehicle when I first bought it. Unfortunately, after two years (and 60K) of ownership, Im ready to dump it. I had problems with the air conditioner shortly after the purchase, the housing for the tail lights makes them a hazard (every time you close the hatch, you have to check the lights to see if theyve wiggled loose and need adjusting), the plastic cover on the drivers power-seat broke (and Im not that heavy!).

Rides great! - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By TBdriver - May 26 - 2:00 amI have enjoyed my Trailblazer for the past two years. No major defects or problems. Great acceleration off the line. I have had several passengers comment that the ride is very smooth. I would agree. The interior styling is not as attractive as the exterior. Inside is mostly one color plastic. Gas mileage is poor (about 16 city), but fortunately I do not rack up a lot of miles. Very easy vehicle to get in and out of (unlike the Mitsubishi Montero).

I LOVE THIS SUV! - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Lavender - May 24 - 10:00 amThis is my first experience with anything other than a "car". I have never enjoyed driving a vehicle more than this one! Its comfortable, quiet, accelerates like a dream and is reliable. At first, I had a problem with my side mirrors re-adjusting themselves at whim, but these were recalled and have since been fixed. Other than that - no problems at all. The only disappointing thing about this vehicle is the gas mileage. I drive strictly highway and average 17.0 mpg. I feel like Im always as the gas station.
