This Year's Model Updates:

Only minor changes are in store for the 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. The LT trim level now has dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and rear audio controls. On the TrailBlazer SS, there are now two SS packages: standard (1SS) and 3SS. These effectively replace last year's LS and LT trim levels. The seven-passenger TrailBlazer EXT is dropped.

Pros:
  • Powerful performance, comfortable on the highway, lots of features, simple controls.
Cons:
  • Bland interior with some subpar materials, skittish handling around corners for non-SS versions, no third-row seat option.

  • Worst Car I Ever Had!! - 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
    By -

This car looks great and is fun to drive but dont let that fool you. This car has been nothing but trouble since day one. The engine started to idle rough. The dealer told me "that is what a performance vehicle feels like". Sorry to say ...I dont think so! Would you be happy with a corvette idling rough? Well this is the same engine!! Then it started to fall apart. Door trims, molding, undercarriage rust (never seen snow, I live in L.A.) Then the transmission went immediately followed by the ignition switch and now again the transmission less than 3 weeks later. GM/Chevy has not been stand up either. I am GM family! Not willing to help or offer to buy back. Dont buy this or any Chevrolet!

  • Saved My Life! - 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Had this SUV for two and a half years, I never really had any problems with it. It was recently totaled when I was T-Boned at 50 mph, I know that this car saved my life and if I had been driving a smaller car I would not have survived. Though I normally buy new cars every three or four years, I intend to go out and purchase another Trailblazer (used as it is out of production now) and drive it in to the ground. I wish GM still made these.

Fast solid, makes u feel safer in traffic knowing u can move when u need I get 16.6 mpg highway after tornado install. Awesome truck, u just need the stereo and tv upgrades. Go buy it u will not b disapointed after stepping on the gas! My wife was a little worried @ first but after she had to drive through the mtns. With my baby boy she quit driving her Lexus ls 400. I think that says something. Anyhoo bad mamajama, love it buy it.

Had it for over a year now and it is still a great ride! The power, styling and ride comfort is excellent. Only had the passenger window track go out (under warranty) but all else has been great. Love this vehicle! I too like the cloth seats even though I originally thought leather was the only way to go.

  • tires & brakes at 24K - 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I love my ss.. It reminds me when I was 16 drivin my 56 belair. Just a bit faster & a lot more comfort, easier to steer and obviously more features. At 24k I had to replace the front brakes $450 wow! That was for brakes & turning rotors. It also needs 4 new tires $600+. At 54 years old, I can say I have always driven a Chevy. Even though I love this ss, Im getting rid of it. Its time 4 a change. I dont mind the 9 mpg around town on 93 octane ($2.85 gal. Now) but the upkeep is too expensive and Im used to replacing brakes & tires at 50k or 60k, not 24k. I hate 2 say it, but Im buying a Toyota. Better quailty, better engineering. Sorry gm, you cant make they quality anymore.

  • poor ignition - 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Ive had my Trailblazer for about 2 years and already Ive had it in the shop 2 times about to be the 3rd time. Twice with the ignition and once with the passenger side window not raising. Im very disappointed in the lack of quality in this problem.

  • Family Sports Car!!!! - 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I love this SUV! It is the first 4door car I have ever owned. More powerful than my 70s Vette and 98 Trans Am, handles almost as well. And it can haul my family of five comfortably.

  • Nice ride-family SUV - 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I drive my Trailblazer mostly in town. After switching over to a synthetic oil I improved MPGs from 15.5 to 16.5. I had some front end trouble at 38000 miles. The entire rack and pinion steering system had to be replaced. $1500.00 ouch! Its a good SUV. Currently I have 47000 miles on it and no more trouble.

  • Better Than What The Reviewers Say - 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

In Sept. 2007, I traded in a Ford Taurus SES for a 3LT Trailblazer with the 5.3L V8. I drove the SS, and even though the acceleration and handling were impressive, the fuel consumption made me rethink. I then drove a 4.2L I6, but just after driving the SS, it seemed lacking. As the 5.3L gets the same mileage as the 4.2, I went on the look for one. Not a lot more power than the 4.2, but a lot more torque makes for effortless acceleration and quiet cruising. A highway trip today yielded 24.6 mpg with the cruise control set 4 mph over the limit. rides smooth, seats are comfy, and you can beat Lexus LX 470s and GX 470s all day long, as there are no external V8 identification badges.

I think Chevy should have kept this truck in production. The Atlas 4.2 inline six has lots of power 291 HP.It pulls our 24 travel trailer with ease. It is so smooth running the factory set up the ignition so that you can not engage the starter while the engine is running. Not that you would want to! The leather 8 way PWR heated seats are great. As is the rest of the toys this truck has.I think the average fuel consumption at 9.0L/100km is good. Best I have got was 8.2L/100km.I had a 1996 GMC SLT AWD Jimmy that had a 4.3 V6 and 190 HP.This is by far a better truck in all areas. I would buy another Trailblazer LT but maybe if fuel cost was not a concern I,d jump at the SS Trailblazer.
