This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, Chevrolet has dropped the high-line LTZ trim level. Power-adjustable pedals, a DVD-based navigation system, automatically locking doors and XM Satellite Radio are new features this year. The instrument panel now sports a freshened monochromatic look. The North Face Edition package gets unique 17-inch wheels, while all models get new 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design, low-grade interior materials.

  • This is a dream vehicle - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

My Trailblazer LT is probably the best quality vehicle I have owned. It is blessed with a V8 which provides smooth acceleration and response. It has a quiet, luxury ride. I love the way it handles. A medium size SUV with 7 passenger capacity....and room for luggage to boot. I havent found anything to complain about to date. Accessories abound with XM radio, DVD player, and On-star. I especially like the fold-down seats in the second row that allows EASY entrance to the third row of seats.

I really enjoy this vehicle...The fuel economy hopefully will rise a little as I break her in..I also hope that I am one of the winners of the "Build- quality lottery" that happens across the automotive assembly industry spectrum,r egardless of the manufacturer or brand name. I cant wait for some lake-effect snow to go out cruising in my new Trailblazer!

MY TRAILBLAZER LOOKS GREAT, RUNS GREAT, AND RIDES GREAT. LOVE THE VEHICLE AND WOULD BUY A SECOND, HOWEVER I HAVE A WATER LEAK IN THE FRONT PASSENGER FLOOR AREA. A DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THE LEAK WAS FIXED. ??? MY THIRD APPOINTMENT IS MY LAST BEFORE I FILE FOR LEMON LAW. STILL DIE HARD CHEVY.

  • Expensive Junk - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

This SUV is overpriced, and, in my opinion, is one of the most uncomfortable vehicles I have ever been in as a passenger. The seatbelts are crap, and it takes about five minutes to get them to work properly. It is fair (in terms of comfort) when you are the driver. The interior is junk. And, it is worth about half the price I paid for it, and I got the GM discount.

Just turned 5,000 miles. Close to zero defects. TB is fun to drive compared to our minivan. Front seating is comfortable and the ride is good, but it really rolls a lot when hitting bumpy corners. Maybe all SUVs do that. Havent tried the 4WD yet. Nice to be able to pull into a parking space and not scrape on the barrier or curb. Definitely like better than a passenger car. Mileage running about 17 mpg as advertised in the city, but at least that weight provides some safety (as do the side airbags).

I use my Trailblazer primarily for my business. Its great driving and easy to get around. I went smaller with the Trailblazer from a Dodge Ram. Its gas intake is easier on the pocketbook.

  • Better than expected - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I spent several months looking at toyota pathfinder and nissan sentra. I am over six feet and found in both cars the seats bottoms too small and did not support me comfortably. The nissan requires premium fuel to get maximum horsepower. I just about quit looking for a comfortable suv 4x4. In desperation I decided to look at Chevy Trailblazer. Did not really want to given history of Chevy reliability for many of its cars. Bought it at Performance Chevy(great dealer and price). Mileage: 13-15 in city and 19-24 highway with reg gas. I get 16 mpg with mix.No problems except one sequeak. Torque on low speeds is somewhat weak but great pickup at higher speeds.

  • Good Reliability Quality Vehicle - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

My Chevy Trailblazer has plenty of pick up and passing power I love the power. This is a very fun vehicle to drive; I took this SUV on a trip that was about 1600 miles round trip, it average about 21.97 mpg on the highway and about 14 to 16 in the city, I think that great mileage for a truck with that kind of power. It has a very soft ride for a SUV. The seat can be a little more supportive but they are fairly comfortable. This is a very reliable vehicle I have 20K on it right now. The crap that they say that the ford explorer handles better is not true my son has a 2002 ford and my trailblazer is faster and handle a lot better than his ford explorer.
