Overview & Reviews
This fully redesigned Trailblazer now sports a longer, wider and noticeably stiffer chassis, along with an all-new 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine and a more refined suspension that is light years ahead of its predecessor, the Blazer. Unique sheet metal now differentiates the Trailblazer from its GM cousins, the GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada, while a restyled interior makes better use of the additional passenger room inside.
- Class-leading engine power, forgiving ride, room for seven in the EXT version.

TB is Kickin - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By lincis2 - September 20 - 2:50 pmThis is my first SUV. After 6 months of shopping I chose hands down the TrailBlazer. The perfomance is their with the 270hp I6. Nothing else I test drove with a 6cyl could match the power. The handaling is great. I drove through a pretty heavy rainfall the other day and it drove great, better than any other car or truck I have owned

Its soooooo bad - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By What a lemon - September 7 - 10:00 amI have never bought a new car with so many problems. All these problems and it never went off road. All sway bars had to be replaced within the first 3 months to stop the banging noise when I made a turn. The entire left wheel had to be replaced and remounted. The squeeking noise during normal driving is driving me mad. Now the transmition doesnt always shift from 1st to 2nd. It has been in to be repaired at least once per month since I bought it. Im dumping it before the warranty runs out. DO NOT BUY ONE.

Will never purchase GM again! - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By MrAce - August 21 - 2:00 amWe fell into the purchase of this Trailblazer. Previously owned a Pontiac Montana EXT which turned out to be the worst vehicle ever. Tried to trade in for a foreign vehicle and could not get rid of it. Went to Chevy, and of course, they allowed us to trade for the Trailblazer. I loved the vehicle at first, exactly one year after puchase the transmission broke. Fortuneately, we have had not other tranny problems (knock on wood). The wind noise is pronounced, the luggage rack squeaks when outside temperature is cold, and had to replace rear brake light. Gas mileage is horrible for an in-line six. Bottom line, I will never buy another GM vehicle EVER!

Good by chevy - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By tso - July 24 - 2:00 amGreat ride, good size, good styling, roomy 3rd row that can fit adults. Many AC problems over two years. VERY disappointed over residual value. A $37000 car is now worth $12000 after two years on a trade. Chevy has lost a customer forever.

Love my Trailblazer! - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By zephyr - July 18 - 2:00 amGreat automobile overall. I feel safe, like the riding high feeling of seeing long down the road. Needs more storage in the cab area. Seats comfy, seat belt too high, needs an adjustment to be higher or lower. Lots of interior room, I carry my mtn bike( 53 y o female) daily, easy in and out. Great headlights. Have side and front air bags.Good mileage at 20-21 mpg.

Roomy and Fun - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By mikeyk61 - July 12 - 10:00 amMileage is the only concern.Extras and room and handling, i believe, give you so much more value than the smaller BMW and Mercedes SUV.
