This Year's Model Updates:

This fully redesigned Trailblazer now sports a longer, wider and noticeably stiffer chassis, along with an all-new 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine and a more refined suspension that is light years ahead of its predecessor, the Blazer. Unique sheet metal now differentiates the Trailblazer from its GM cousins, the GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada, while a restyled interior makes better use of the additional passenger room inside.

Pros:
  • Class-leading engine power, forgiving ride, room for seven in the EXT version.

  • Few Problems - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Ive had my Trailblazer since March 2003. I have never had a major repair or problem with the vehicle. Handles like a car, and if you keep up with regular maintenance schedules, the car is a joy. Im pushing 100,000 miles after 4 years and the car is still running like day one. I used to own a Blazer and it rode like a rock after 6 months, but the Trailblazer has run like a car since day one and thereafter. I would highly recommend it for safety, style and dependability.

Sharp looking vehicle; good fuel economy for an SUV; handles well; However, lots of repairs, rattles and noises. Overall, it has all of the parts of the puzzle. It just wasnt put together well. Disappointing!! Selling it ASAP.

As an owner of this vehicle I have recommended it to several friends. I even went as far as to buy my wife one with the OnStar package. When you travel as much as I do you want reliability and comfort with no hassles and the Chevy TrailBlazer gives you just that. Best car I have ever owned

I have been a fan of Chevy all my life. The TrailBlazer is comfort, style, class, and power all wraped into one big Chevy. I would definitely say that this is one of the most fun filled SUVs I have ever owned. The power of the TrailBlazer is unmatched by any other SUV I have ever owned. I would totally recommend a TrailBlazer anyday over an Explorer to anyone!

The Trail Blazer handles well under Colorado weather conditions. We are impressed with the SUVs pulling capabilities. The brakes, however, are a bit soft. Cheverolet should beef up the braking system in newer models.

Our 2002 Chevy Trailblazer is just about to hit 300,000 Miles on the odometer. We have done regular maintenance every 3,000 miles. We have had only one minor issue, which was a coil pack. Everything else about this vehicle has been perfect. Ours is our daily driver and is garage kept. I tend to do around 100 miles of driving on it each day. It is an amazing truck.

I purchased this vehicle used with 75000 miles on it and am very happy with it. Very comfortable with plenty of power. Auto 4wd works well. Styling is nice inside and out. Runs very smooth. I recommend vehicle.

Bought the TrailBlazer 4WD LTZ brand new almost 5 years ago, trading in my 96 Grand Cherokee Limited. Fuel economy, handling, power, reliability and quality are all about the same. The Chevy has better interior space and comfort although I think the front seats could be better. I think the Chevys style, ride, stereo and other gadgets are better than the Jeeps. The only thing I miss is the sound of the V8. Chevys V6 might have plenty of power but the sound of it is almost embarrassing. The trips back to the dealer have been infrequent, just regular servicing, fixing the turn signal on the side mirror that the car wash people broke and to fix a ding in the hood.

It is a great vehicle to drive. I love it. The truck in my opinion is one of the best SUVs to come out in 2002

  • No Resale Value - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

The TrailBlazer as well as all GM vehicles has no resale value. The vehicle that you paid $30000 18 months ago is now only worth $17000 in excellant condition.
