Overview & Reviews
This fully redesigned Trailblazer now sports a longer, wider and noticeably stiffer chassis, along with an all-new 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine and a more refined suspension that is light years ahead of its predecessor, the Blazer. Unique sheet metal now differentiates the Trailblazer from its GM cousins, the GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada, while a restyled interior makes better use of the additional passenger room inside.
- Class-leading engine power, forgiving ride, room for seven in the EXT version.

my Trailblazer - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By aimbsl - November 21 - 2:00 amVery nice for traveling, especially with the rear entertainment center. It handled well in bad weather. Visability was good with the exception of a slight blind spot on the passenger side. The seats were not as comfortable for driving long distances as they were in my previous vehicle, Mercury Grand Marquis. All in all, I am really enjoying this vehicle. I have also owned minivans in the past, and my family (children, parents, siblings, etc) all tell me that the rear seats are a lot more comfortable and they especially like the stadium- type seating. Smooth ride anywhere you sit in the vehicle.

By Bronxvette - October 5 - 10:00 amPurchased used with 45000 miles. This truck rides like a car.Fun to drive. Checked out history,L/F window motor and a sunroof module are the only repairs in 45000 miles. GREAT TRUCK. Will buy a new next. What SUV gets the mileage they state on the sticker?? 14MPG local 18 highway

TrailBlazer disappoints - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By unclebug - September 28 - 10:00 amThis inline six should get much better gas mileage. With all city driving I am lucky to get 12 mpg. Very disapointing!

POWER! but at a price - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By strati - May 11 - 2:00 amwe needed one big car for the fam. home projects and a kid on the way. the tblazer seemed to be perfect! HUGE power, good amount of room, and a reasonable price. but the interior comfort really leaves a lot to be desired, the audio system isnt very good at all, and the mileage (understandably) is poor. but whats dissappointing is that the 4x4 switch becomes inoperative in the cold. guess when i need the 4x4 to WORK?!

Great but needs forgiveness - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By molsen2064 - May 10 - 10:00 amOverall I love this vehicle... except for the build quality... I had to have the engine replaced at 9500 miles... dealer said there was a gouge in the 5th piston sleeve... plus there have been some other smaller things... "other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?" it has run great since the replacement though...

2002 LS - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By shayes1 - May 4 - 9:53 amI have an 89 s10 w/175K miles and a 2000 Blazer, so its not surprising I have added this to my garage. The great exterior styling is beyond what I could ever wish for in a Chevy SUV. Other pluses are the strong engine, smooth ride, but it would have been nice to drop the solid axle. One thing I did not like is the fact you are forced to buy OnStar to get a sunroof in the LS (shame on you Chevy).

Lemon in Green - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By DHToy2 - April 11 - 10:00 amBought the LS in Hunter Green a little over a year ago. Have had major problems with the elctronic system on board. At one point, the dealer had the car for 3 weeks and had to rent me a loaner. Radio changes stations all by itself, A/c quits and starts all by itself. Gas mileage is aweful. I have a Tahoe that gets better mileage than this SUV does 10 mpg city, 16 mpg highway. Car has spent a total of 6 weeks in the shop and yet GM will not buy it back as it hasnt been enough problems to warrant replacement. My next car will be a Honda. Dealership was a good as could be expected dealing with a design error.

My Chevy - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Casey7 - January 26 - 5:13 pmI love my new Chevy Trailblazer. It is the first Chevy I have driven since 55. It has a very comfortable ride, plenty if power and is well designed and built. The transmission could use more crisp changing. I have only one major problem, the milege is pretty bad. I get 15 around town and 16.4 on the interstate. Over all , the Trailblezer is great.
