This Year's Model Updates:

This fully redesigned Trailblazer now sports a longer, wider and noticeably stiffer chassis, along with an all-new 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine and a more refined suspension that is light years ahead of its predecessor, the Blazer. Unique sheet metal now differentiates the Trailblazer from its GM cousins, the GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada, while a restyled interior makes better use of the additional passenger room inside.

Pros:
  • Class-leading engine power, forgiving ride, room for seven in the EXT version.
Cons:

I recently purchased the Chevy TB. I love the design. The quality of leather on the seats looks very cheap. Very smooth engine. Lots of cargo space. Good ride for an SUV. Im still a little leary of the long term reliability.

seats are to hard and not bucket enough. A arm rest is needed for front and back seats. Onstar is a price pack and should not be required in the upper scale models.

  • Love our Extended Trailblazer - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

We wanted to step down from our full size conversion van, but didnt want a mini-van family mobile. the extended trailblazer fits the perfectly for us. We have tons of cargo space even with the second row seats in use. Performance is excellent and Chevy hardly missed a bell or whistle in the LTZ.

I loved to drive my trailblazer more than my car . At first I had problems with the four wheel drive ,it would try to go into four low going down the road .also had a lot of electrical problems,Doors would lock by themselves, security horn would blow when you unlocked the door. I got decent gas milage 17 to 20 . Just traded for a 2003 GMC Envoy , it has 2;73 gearing only getting 14 to 15 mpg on GMC.The tailgate handle molding ate into the paint, noticed GMC has a rubber seal around it.

It is a nice truck , The new 4.2 Inline 6 delivers plenty of power, It has a very smooth ride , Truck handles great in the snow . A lot of SUV for the money !! Highly recommended , Its not up to Toyota or Honda quality yet but GM has seem to come a long way !!

  • Could be a awesome truck - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Ive had my TB for almost 2 years now. I like the idea of Bose stereo, but the side speaker panels rattle when the base hits from the speakers. Chevy shouldnt put bose systems in vehicles if they cant make it not rattle. Also, i realize this is an SUV and i shouldnt be cornering fast but the seats have no side bolstering to hold you in place. Are these only designed for fat people? Sometimes the AC wouldnt work. Sunroof motor wouldnt work on hot days and sunroof got stuck in open position. If they make better seats, tighten up the suspension and design the door panels to handle the Bose system, this could be an awesome truck.

Poor audio system, lots of road and engine noise. I am going to add insulation to lessen noise.

I bought this vehicle new. I have owned this vehicle for two years. Overall,I have been extremely happy with it. The handling is a little sloppy and the gas mileage is average. Ive had no problems with it.

  • Damn taillights - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Nice vehicle, smooth ride, lives up to performance and towing claims. Problems with tail lights. Has been in the shop 5 times now. Entire assemblies were replaced but still having problems. Needs a different gear ratio option to provide improved mpg. My full size Suburban gets the same mpg as the Trailblazer.

  • Great vehicle except - 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Ive only put on about 5k miles so far. Coming out of a Blazer, its a big improvement. Roomier and more comfortable with a fairly impressive turning radius. The gas mileage is less than desirable but somewhat expected with the SUV. The stereo speaker quality is "uhhh" okay.... Nice design too ! So far, no problems to speak of..
