Overview & Reviews
The Tahoe gets a host of new upgrades for 2003. On the inside, you'll find new tri-zone climate controls, an enhanced driver-information center and a redesigned center console and instrument panel. New options includes second-row bucket seats and adjustable pedals. A revised lineup of entertainment options offers buyers a Bose audio system, as well as XM Satellite Radio and a DVD-based entertainment system. For increased safety, there are dual-stage airbags, a standard front-passenger-sensing system, three-point belts for all second-row passengers and an available StabiliTrak stability control system on Tahoes with the 5300 V8. The braking system has been upgraded for what Chevrolet says is better pedal feel and performance and Tahoes sold in California are now fitted with a new catalytic converter that earns the truck ULEV certification. Deleted items on the Tahoe are minor. No longer standard are third-row floor mats, an underhood light, a 7-to-4 pin trailer brake adapter, an auxiliary door lock switch in the cargo area and a lock for the center console.
- Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, numerous available amenities.
- Spotty build quality, interior materials could use improvement.

Travel Trailer Truck - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By soccermom - January 24 - 10:00 ami took my tahoe on its first adventure to a camping park. I had to go on the pa turnpike and it handled everything great. Because of the torque and larger frame it was able to do this. so if any one wants to tow go with a tahoe Z71.It did not hesitate up any hills on the backroads & when the tractor trailors came by at 80 mph the trailer swayed alittle but the truck did not budge.

Best Overall Vehicle Period - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Coyote - January 24 - 10:00 amThere is no better all around vehicle made. I use it as much off road as on road and it will do anything my jeep will do with more comfort. We have used them on ranches where there were hardly any roads, put over 150,000 miles on them and they are still being used as taxis in Telluride, CO. It is the most comfortable on road vehicle; I never get tired of driving on 1000 mile trips. And I still get 18 to 21 mpg on the highway at very high speeds. It should be rated the best SUV on the market since that BMW isnt going half the places my Tahoe is going. There will always be one in our family.

Nice car but Autoride is hazardous - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By Eric Weston - January 3 - 10:00 amI wish I had read the 2 other reviews here before I ordered my Tahoe. They warned about the Autoride feature. At low speeds the vehicle is fine. At highway speeds it is out and out dangerous. You cannot control this thing at 65mph or above. It wiggles and runs all over the road and if your attention wanders for a second you might find yourself under a truck or wrapped around a bridge support. The dealer tells me this is normal for the autoride and there have been numerous complaints about stability. I agree. This truck is dangerous.

so far, so good - 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
By broughers - January 3 - 10:00 am2002 Tahoe LT with 14,000 miles. Ive taken numerous long trips with large amts of cargo. So far, not a single problem. the vehicle has not had to return to the dealer for any reason. Initial build quality and delivery condition was above reproach. Comfort for driver and passengers is impressive. Hwy milage @ 75-80 mph is 17.5 mpg. Could use a little bigger fuel tank for those fishing trips out away from gas stations.
