This vehicle has been my pleasure to own. It has been fun customizing it because there are so many options to choose from on all the stuff you can do to it.

When I bought my Tahoe, I traded in a Ford Explorer. I knew I was going up in size, but that didnt bother me. I loved the room in this new vehicle. To my surprise, parallel parking was much easier in this vehicle than in the Ford, which was smaller. Only draw back is the steering colum in this vehicle had to be replaced which was a problem with all trucks for GMC/Cheverolet.

My Tahoe has been great, I love the size, but I have a few suggestions. Its been a great, reliable car. But I will not get another until they fix these things. I am looking at an Infinity QX56.

Even though I dont have anything or anyone to haul around, I love having the room if I need it. Actually, I did once deliver a new stove and it fit in the back with the seat folded down. Not great gas mileage - but Im glad I have the power to get on the highway with no problems.

Brakes could be beefier but its good looking, powerful, quiet (relatively) and I love the size--not too big, not too small. Gas mileage, well, its an SUV.

This is my second GM SUV. The first was a 1999 Yukon. When It hit 80,000, I had to trade for the new body style. This has been the best truck I have ever owned. I am currently holding out for the new 2006.

I have been very pleased with this vehicle. Very minor warranty work. I was thinking about buying a new vehicle, but now feel I will be unable to improve over what I have.

  • Got it right GM! - 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe

GM has their trucks dialed. Yes, I have a "ticking" engine, but hey, so what? After 10 seconds the sound is gone. The engine is strong and sturdy. I love the torque. Smooth, quiet, but there when you need it. Interior finishes are sub-par. Reliability is much better than my BMW X5, which is in the shop every month.

Seats are wonderful. Power very adequate. Mileage OK considering how much weight you are moving. Comfort and convenience are outstanding.

  • Good car -- get checked out before warr. - 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe

I love my 2002 Tahoe however to anyone buying one i would take it in before the warranty expires and get them to do a full overhaul. I had to get my two front window "cranks" replaced (would have been 500 a piece. Just make sure you take it in and let them check everything.
