Overview & Reviews
The Suburban gets numerous functional enhancements for 2003. The Quadrasteer four-wheel steering system is now available on 3/4-ton models for increased maneuverability and better stability when towing, while 1/2-ton versions now offer the StabiliTrak stability control system. New power heated mirrors feature puddle lamps, in-glass turn signal indicators and a memory function, and extendable power camper mirrors are optional. The interior gets numerous upgrades that include tri-zone climate control, an enhanced driver-information center, a redesigned center console and options such as second-row captain's chairs and adjustable pedals. A revised lineup of entertainment options includes a Bose audio system as well as XM Satellite Radio and a DVD-based entertainment system. For increased safety, the Suburban now features a standard front-passenger-sensing system and dual-stage airbags.
- Choice of powerful V8 engines, Quadrasteer four-wheel steering system, cavernous cargo space, room for nine.
- Massive size can be tough in tight confines, vague steering feel, cheap interior plastics.

Last Chevy - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By PW - March 14 - 2:53 pmWhere to begin, probably the worst truck I ever owned. Four Wheel Drive front end was replaced, steering box of some sort replaced, speedometer cable/control, catalytic converter, battery leaked and went dead (15K miles), acid ate through the pump for the windshield washer. Tons of problems. Biggest pile of junk I have owned. Latest problem I have is it slips into 4wd, but the indicator light does not go on, happened twice. I am going back to Ford.

Disappointed - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By snotned - July 25 - 2:00 amI use my Chevy to puck up friends from the airport and to take trips to neighboring states. The dealership tells me that it is normal to burn 1 1/2 quarts of oil between oil changes (every 3500 miles) Chevy says it sent out letters saying this was normal.???

Suburban - dont go there - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By jwagnerfamliy - May 12 - 10:00 amOur Suburban has been a relibility nightmare. It ALWAYS breaks down on family vacations, most recently in the middle of the Mohave desert. For such an expensive vehicle Id expect better quality. My advice is never buy any GM product especially Suburban. Im dumping my Suburban and buying a Toyota Sequoia.

Second thoughts - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By MMasters - June 3 - 2:00 amI thought I had fallen in love - it turned out to only be infatuation. The troubles Ive had with rattles and loose trim pieces falling off makes me question the long term reliability of this vehicle.
