Overview & Reviews
The Suburban gets numerous functional enhancements for 2003. The Quadrasteer four-wheel steering system is now available on 3/4-ton models for increased maneuverability and better stability when towing, while 1/2-ton versions now offer the StabiliTrak stability control system. New power heated mirrors feature puddle lamps, in-glass turn signal indicators and a memory function, and extendable power camper mirrors are optional. The interior gets numerous upgrades that include tri-zone climate control, an enhanced driver-information center, a redesigned center console and options such as second-row captain's chairs and adjustable pedals. A revised lineup of entertainment options includes a Bose audio system as well as XM Satellite Radio and a DVD-based entertainment system. For increased safety, the Suburban now features a standard front-passenger-sensing system and dual-stage airbags.
- Choice of powerful V8 engines, Quadrasteer four-wheel steering system, cavernous cargo space, room for nine.
- Massive size can be tough in tight confines, vague steering feel, cheap interior plastics.

Almost a Great SUV - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By JacksWild - January 13 - 2:00 amLove the room, ride height, overall appearance. My first experience with a Suburban - I previously owned an Explorer, and this blows that away!! That being said, I feel there is too much "gear" noise heard in the cabin when in auto 4WD, and Ive experienced some popping noise(s) from exhaust when hot. Also, too long warm up period when cold starting.

Great on Long Trips - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By DerekW - October 13 - 2:00 amMy 2003 Suburban 1500LT is extremely comfortable on long trips. About 3-4 times a year, I make the 8-hour trip from Indianapolis to Kansas City with my wife and baby (presently 18 months old) to see my folks. Theres PLENTY of room for our luggage and all the gear a baby/toddler requires. The aisle between the captains chairs in the second row make it easy to get to the third row bench -- perfect for diaper changes at questionable rest stops! After 11 months of ownership, Ive encountered zero mechanical problems. Lets hope Im this happy after my extended warranty expires. I love this SUV.

great vehicle - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By leslie - August 27 - 2:00 amThis suv is fun to drive and has lots of room for people and luggage. That is what got me to buy it. We wanted something big and roomy to drive down to Florida with five children. Though it is big enough it wasnt very comfortable for the long drive. The seats dont go back in the second and third row. So, it was uncomfortable for everyone exept the passanger

I LOVE It!!!!! - 2003 Chevrolet Suburban
By KHutson - August 22 - 2:00 amI am so glad I have this Truck. I do not commute with it because the gas mileage is what it is. It is very comfortable and with a bad back the full featured seats with heat are the way to go! The car talks to you and tells you everything you need to know. The handling, stereo system and quad bucket seats are the best. The power is unmatched. Visibility is perfect. I really love this truck.
