Never ever ever again - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By gene - March 23 - 4:30 pmThis car is the biggest piece of junk! Soon as I got it I noted that water was leaking in from the firewall thanks to the cabin air filter being under the window wipers stupid location, hard to fix, impossible to replace a blown speaker in the back, blows fuses for back up lights regularly, horrible suspension and creaks over every bump and feels floaty, had to replace the driver side wheel hub assembly at 62,000 miles cant be left for over two days with out it being dead dude to electronic draw, exhaust rattles thanks to design, traction to sensitive, and kicks in at weird times. A horrible gm design and poorly engineered! No gm crap for me any more, reconsider if you want one

Monte Carlo SS - 2001 - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Leopold - February 12 - 11:26 amThis car has been underrated on fuel economy and performance. We have averaged 29 MPG (not just highway) since owning it. It is a beautiful car and had good pick up considering it is a V6. The original tires we had were noisy, and since changing them at 60,000 miles to a style with that in mind, this one drawback has been greatly improved.

Chevy Excellence - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By WOLFMAN - December 28 - 10:36 pmGotta love it! Great looks, great ride. Black w/dark tint looks like an intimidator on the road. Get looks from everyone who likes cars and from many who normally wouldnt notice. Have been a mechanic for 20 yrs. and from a repair standpoint this car is exceptionaly built, keeping it simple and yet having all the amenities of a far more costly car. When it does have to be worked on it is roomy and straightforward for the repair tech, which will make him/her smile while performing the repairs needed. Will be purchasing another SS to hotrod and park beside our 81 Monte Carlo. Nothing else has enough class to wear a bowtie other than a Chevy!

Cheap interior, poor design - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By B Kohlhase - November 10 - 5:46 amI purchased my SS new. Transmission going now at 85k. Headliner fell behind sunroof, dealer never could fix from day one. Electrical under seat poor design. Moving seat has pulled wires. Pulled seat heater, seatbelt light flashing. Electrical is poor. Signals quit working and can hear buzzer at times. Good driving machine though and still get compliments on the car at almost 7 years old.

Excellent Ride! - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By jeslynall - September 7 - 8:36 pmI bought this car with 62K and now have 112K on it. I am in love with the car and cant say that I have has any serious problems besides over $2K in brake work which is linked morely to mechanic than Chevy itself. Monte Carlo is definitely worth the cost and definitely gets looks everytime I drive it! I gave it a 8 on fuel economy because no matter what you do (especially if you are lead footed like me) you wont get much more that 18 MPG, which is actually good for a V6!

Made on a Monday?? - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Not so pleased - November 29 - 10:00 amThe engine light came on one day after I had it. It took 4 tries for the dealership to finally fix it. Since then, the engine light has come on numerous times. Ive had 3 parts replaced in less than 2 years. Thank goodness for OnStar. Im looking for another type of car after only 2 years of having the car to avoid buying the extended warranty. The car looks great, but if Im worried about it getting me where I need to go thats pretty pointless.

Best Car I have Ever Owned - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By LOVE MY MONTE - November 13 - 6:20 amI purchased this vechile in Oct 05 and I am loving it. It was a one owner vehicle and had 150,000 miles on it. It has 165,000 now and looks and runs like new. No rattles, doesnt burn any oil, drives like a new one. I would recomend this car to anyone. I contacted the original owner and he said he had no problems in the time he owned it other than a traction control malfunction that was fixed by the dealership under waranty. I drive it everyday and would reccomend this car to everyone.
