This is a great car - 1999 Chevrolet Metro
By Brian - June 10 - 7:18 pmI love this little thing. Only had 25000 miles on it when I found it. Gets a staggering 53 miles to the gallon around town, and 47 at 65 on the freeway. No A/C crank windows and plunge locks. Great A to B.

My Dependable Metro - 1999 Chevrolet Metro
By Robert Hall - September 26 - 11:31 amI have had pretty good luck with this car. In the beginning, I had some problems with a faulty engine control computer module that was then replaced by the dealer under warranty and with the air conditioning system a couple of times during the last 7 years, but havent had any significant problems since.

Just bought it! - 1999 Chevrolet Metro
By TiJon - January 27 - 11:18 pmI just purchased a 1999 Chevy Metro LSi 2-dr hatchback, it had 97400 miles on it at purchase. I got it because I needed a car that gets good gas mileage. So far, I am averaging 32.5 mpg. I have had to put in some work into it (i.e. tune up). For the mileage it has on it, the body & interior are in good shape no rust & a few dings. I got what I expected to buy for $3000 USD. I will keep track and update this site.

A great commuter! - 1999 Chevrolet Metro
By ABellido - April 28 - 2:00 amAn outstanding commuter! Great gas mileage! I travel 40 miles daily to work. Is very reliable. I had obly one problem with it after the first year. The ignition coil and wire shorted out. It was a warranty repair. Other than oil changes and new tires, it had saved me a lot of money in repair costs. I am passing it on to my daughter so she can go to school in it.

Simple and Reliable - 1999 Chevrolet Metro
By Marvin Lindroth - November 11 - 2:00 amA very reliable car and ideal for commuting to work. It drives easily, is simple to park, and gets great gas mileage (45mpg: manual transmission). Carrying two or three adult passengers, the car has weak acceleration power, but with no adult passangers or one, the cars acceleration power is acceptable. No mechanical problems at all.
