This Year's Model Updates:

Only minor changes are added to Chevrolet's midsize sedan. Floor mats and an AM/FM CD stereo are now standard on all models. Three new colors have been added along with newly styled 15-inch cast-aluminum wheels.

Pros:
  • Comfortable and roomy interior, speedy acceleration, contemporary styling, ultra-low price despite high feature content.
Cons:
  • No traction control, refinement is exchanged for low payments.

So far so good. For the money its a good car. I havent had any problems, I love the stereo and it handles well. My only complaint is the lack of pickup, too bad they didnt offer a manual transmission. Other than that I love the car.

I have had my Malibu for 18 months now and I love it. I have all the options expect the engine heating block and the gold package, and I have not had any problems. It is fun to drive and very comfortable.

At 58000 miles this car has never been back to the dealer for fixes! Excellent on gas as I get close to 30 mpg, it has pleanty of pep and is nicely road responsive. I would buy another one in a minute. I hope they dont screw up the new model coming.

Since we went down to one car nearly 1 year ago we have been very satisfied with our choice of the Malibu LS. The interior is very comfortable. Id recommend it as a reasonable alternative to anyone looking at a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry unless you plan on keeping the car for 15 years. The 3.1 engine is in many Chevrolet products. It has great performance, great ride, larger interior, and doesnt need 93 octane gas in the v6.

I have 15,500 miles on my car and have not yet had any problems that other people have complained about. It is very comfortable w great speaker sounds. I bought it to make the multiple drives from Texas to Pennsylvania pleasurable, and it is. My previous car was a Cavalier which was a POS and an egg crate. I will be a repeat Malibu buyer!

Love this Car! Chevy really did its research. Drives beautifully! Feels like and quick, not like a traditional American car. Great styling. Doors shut firm, light. 4-Cylinder is extremely fast and powerful. Car is bigger than cars in its class, yet lighter than most. Drives great!

Went from a 92 Lumina w/193,000 miles to a 02 Demo Malibu w/6,000 miles. Love my Malibu. Hope I dont have the same brake probs. w/the Malibu, but, judging from the comments here I just might have them. No one bothered to mention the Stainless Steel exhaust which NEVER got replaced on my Lumina, as well as the original shocks. Saved a small forune on them alone. Good power, plenty of space in the Malibu. Very much like it.
